
UditVani, Jamshedpur : In a determined effort to reach the remotest corners of the district, East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi visited Kolabadia Tola, located in the forest block of remote Gudabandha surrounded by hills on all sides.
The DC, accompanied by administrative officials, undertook a challenging journey on motorbikes and on foot to interact directly with villagers and assess their concerns on the ground.
During the visit, the villagers shared their key issues with the DC, which included lack of proper road connectivity, irregular electricity supply, inadequate drinking water facilities, absence of permanent Anganwadi Centre, and non-receipt of housing scheme benefits.
Responding to the concerns, the Deputy Commissioner instructed concerned departmental officials to take immediate and priority-based action to resolve each issue.
He emphasized that all government schemes should be implemented in a transparent and time-bound manner so that the benefits reach every eligible person.
He also directed the departments to link villagers with livelihood initiatives including agriculture and animal husbandry schemes to promote self-reliance.
Inspection of School and Anganwadi Centre
The DC also inspected the local primary school and temporary Anganwadi centre in Kolabadia Tola. He interacted with children to understand their attendance, learning outcomes, and availability of study materials. He spoke with teachers and assured full support in strengthening education infrastructure in the region. He encouraged children to attend school regularly and focus on their studies with sincerity.
Focus on Community Participation
DC Satyarthi urged the villagers to actively participate in the implementation of government schemes and keep local authorities informed about their issues at the panchayat and block levels for swift resolution. He reiterated the commitment of the state government and district administration to ensure that the benefits of development reach the last person in society. He added that field visits to remote areas are being carried out regularly to monitor real-time conditions and challenges.
The visit was also attended by Ghatsila Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Sunil Chandra, Block Development Officer (BDO) Dangur Kodah, local Panchayat representatives, and officials from various departments.
