
UditVani, Jamshedpur : A meeting of the District Coordination Committee was held on Monday at the Collectorate Auditorium under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi.
The DC reviewed the progress of various welfare schemes, infrastructure projects and basic civic amenities, and stressed on stronger inter-departmental coordination to ensure timely execution.
The Deputy Commissioner directed all departments to work in close coordination so that developmental schemes do not face unnecessary delays.
He said that timely implementation of projects on the ground ensures that the benefits reach the intended beneficiaries without disruption.
During the meeting, instructions were given to Circle Officers to take special initiatives to facilitate the issuance of Community Forest Rights (CFR) to people residing in forest areas.
They were asked to generate applications and forward recommendations to the district-level committee after completing due procedures. The DC also directed the Welfare Department to ensure that scholarship applications are processed promptly through the e-Kalyan portal.
Circle Officers were instructed to ensure land availability and send land reports for works related to Jahersthan boundary fencing, Dhunkudia construction/renovation and beautification works.
Reviewing the Maiya Samman Yojana, the DC asked departments to expedite physical verification of all beneficiaries. He instructed officials to identify ineligible, deceased or non-local beneficiaries and send updated recommendations to the district. Banking institutions, Pragya Kendra operators and VLEs were directed to prioritise resolution of technical issues faced by beneficiaries so that no eligible person is left out.
The Education Department was asked to coordinate with concerned departments to ensure bank account opening and Aadhaar registration for students in government schools. Regular health check-ups and health card creation for students must also be ensured.
To improve board examination results, district and block-level officials tagged with identified schools were instructed to visit the schools every 10 days and take concrete steps to enhance academic quality.
Taking note of incidents of theft and vandalism at BPM Burma Mines (CM Excellence School) and Jamshedpur High School, Bistupur, the DC directed the Deputy Superintendent of Police to identify miscreants at the police station level and take strict action.
Engineering departments engaged in infrastructure projects—including school buildings, Anganwadi centres, health centres and drinking water facilities—were instructed to maintain quality and ensure timely execution.
The DC also directed mandatory display of QR codes at construction sites to ensure transparency.
Discussing the ‘Sarkar Aapke Dwar’ campaign scheduled from November 21 to December 15, the DC instructed all Block Development Officers to ensure proper organisation and smooth conduct of camps as per government guidelines. He stressed on widespread public participation and asked officials to inform citizens and public representatives about camp schedules. All applications and services provided during the camps must be entered on the portal, and feasible issues should be resolved on the spot.
The meeting was attended by the Special Section Officer, DTO, DMC (JNAC), SDO, DPRO, DCLR, District Planning Officer (in-charge), BDOs, COs and officials from various departments.
