Jamshedpur : A comprehensive review meeting of development schemes in the aspirational block Musabani was held today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum, Karn Satyarthi, at the district collectorate auditorium.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Development Commissioner Aniket Sachan, Block Development Officers (BDOs), Circle Officers (COs), Medical Officers In-Charge (MOICs), and other departmental officials.
The DC reviewed the progress across sectors such as health, agriculture, social welfare, fisheries, horticulture, cooperatives, and drinking water & sanitation.
He issued a strict warning against fake reporting by officials and employees, stating that such practices hamper real progress and render improvement in key indicators impossible. He emphasized that only factual, ground-level data should be reported.
During the review of the health department, MOICs were instructed to promote institutional deliveries, discourage home births, and ensure that each panchayat has at least one dedicated Mamta vehicle. Further, directives were issued to form VHSND committees at the Anganwadi level to improve monitoring of pregnant and lactating mothers, and to promote nutrition for infants.
In the education sector, the DC directed that no teacher should be involved in non-academic tasks during school hours, nor should they be required to bring files to the district education office. Instructions were given to the DSE and DEO to ensure that academic hours are fully dedicated to student learning, and that no meetings with teachers should be scheduled during school hours.
Referring to the failure of 43 students in the Intermediate examination from Musabani block, he ordered intensive preparation for the upcoming compartmental exams.
He also directed that a survey be conducted across all government schools in the district to assess the availability of piped drinking water, with the report to be submitted within a week.
The Social Welfare Department was instructed to train Anganwadi workers and helpers, ensure timely and accurate reporting on the Nutrition Tracker App, and take proper care of beneficiaries. The meeting also included discussions on the ODF Plus campaign, with the Executive Engineer being asked to ensure 100% progress toward making the aspirational block free from open defecation.
The DC concluded by directing all departmental officers to prepare special action plans for Musabani block across health, agriculture, social welfare, fisheries, horticulture, cooperatives, and drinking water & sanitation.
He stressed that effective implementation of schemes is key to improving the block’s ranking and called for a unified team effort to achieve this goal.
