
UditVani, Jamshedpur : A comprehensive review meeting on various development projects related to land acquisition and road construction was held at the Jamshedpur Collectorate auditorium under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Bhagirath Prasad, District Transport Officer, Deputy Municipal Commissioner of JNAC, District Land Acquisition Officer, concerned Circle Officers, officials from NHAI, Road Construction Department, Railways, and other related departments.
Special focus was laid on the NHAI’s Four-Lane Elevated Corridor Project (Pardih Kali Mandir to Dimna Chowk to Baliguma). The Deputy Commissioner directed officials to expedite utility shifting such as electric lines, water pipelines, and gas pipelines, and to ensure inter-departmental coordination for smooth progress under the Forest Rights Act (FRA) provisions.
During the review of 18 road construction projects, it was informed that the compensation process for landowners (raiyats) is in progress for 10 projects, while it is still underway for the remaining 8. The Deputy Commissioner instructed officials to accelerate compensation disbursement by organizing payment camps. He emphasized that villagers should be informed in advance so they can attend the camps and collect their compensation.
The meeting also included discussions on the construction of the Road Over Bridge (ROB) under the Budamara to Chakulia railway line project. Relevant agencies were instructed to ensure necessary coordination for timely execution.
Concluding the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner issued clear directives to all departments to maintain seamless coordination in matters of land acquisition, compensation, utility shifting, and FRA-related actions, ensuring no hindrance in the implementation of developmental projects.
