UditVani, Jamshedpur : A daring daylight robbery shook Sonari today when four criminals stormed into Vardhman Jewelers, located in the Sonari market, and looted the shop in broad daylight.
According to reports, the incident took place in the afternoon when the armed miscreants entered the jewelry shop and carried out the robbery at gunpoint.
Eyewitnesses revealed that while fleeing the scene, the criminals fired shots from a revolver and assaulted the shop owner’s brother.
The injured was immediately rushed to TMH (Tata Main Hospital) for treatment.
Following the robbery, all the criminals managed to escape. Police reached the spot shortly after receiving information and have started investigating the case. CCTV footage from the area is being scanned to identify and trace the culprits.
The daring incident in a busy marketplace has spread panic among shopkeepers and locals.
Police have assured strict action and launched a manhunt to nab the robbers.
