Jamshedpur : A splash of colors, rhythms of creativity, and voices of expression filled the air at Netaji Subhash University in Pokhari, as the institution joyously celebrated World Art Day on its campus.
The event, organized by the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, served as a vibrant platform for students to unleash their creative spirit and express their artistic talents. Designed to nurture confidence and innovation, the celebration drew participation from students across various disciplines.
The program began with a serene lamp lighting ceremony followed by a soulful Ganesh Vandana, setting a graceful tone for the day.
From poetic expressions and poster artistry to the intricate finesse of crochet, stitching, mehndi, tattoo design, and a stimulating quiz, the competitions showcased a dynamic blend of traditional and contemporary art forms.
Each participant brought something unique to the table — some stirred emotions with thought-provoking poems, while others turned blank canvases into messages of hope, culture, and identity through their artworks.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Prabhat Kumar Pani, the chief guest of the occasion, commended the young artists, remarking, “Art speaks when words fall short. It is heartening to see our students channel their inner creativity to inspire and uplift.”
Dean of Administration, Nazim Khan, presented medals and certificates to the winners, acknowledging their exceptional creativity and dedication.
The successful celebration was a collaborative effort by faculty, department heads, and students — a testament to the university’s commitment to fostering holistic development.
Netaji Subhash University continues to champion a balanced academic environment where imagination and intellect go hand in hand.
