Jamshedpur: A violent altercation broke out between two shopkeepers in the Dalda Line of Sakchi Market around 9.30 pm last night, reportedly over calling customers to their respective shops.
The incident occurred between the owners of Romer Swing Machine & Radio Company and Romer Enterprises.
According to sources, Trilochan Singh, the owner of Romer Swing Machine & Radio Company, along with his son Inderjit Singh, allegedly attacked neighboring shopkeeper Baldev Singh with a stick, resulting in a head injury.
Baldev Singh was seriously injured and has been admitted to MGM Hospital for treatment. His son, Harpreet Singh, also sustained minor injuries during the scuffle.
Local residents intervened to separate the parties and managed to bring the situation under control. The Sakchi police were informed and are currently investigating the matter. Both parties are being questioned, and CCTV footage from the area is being reviewed.
Following the incident, chaos briefly erupted in the market, but normalcy was restored soon after.
