UditVani, Jamshedpur : In a disturbing incident that has raised serious concerns over public safety, a group of unidentified miscreants allegedly hurled fire bombs inside a city school campus, shattering window panes and creating panic among staff and students.
The shocking act, reportedly carried out on October 21 and again on Friday evening, has drawn strong condemnation from the education fraternity and the local community.
According to the school authorities, the group of youths acted brazenly, throwing fire bombs inside the campus premises and fleeing immediately after.
“It’s sad that a group of miscreants is disturbing schools by throwing fire bombs inside school campuses. The video shared is an example of how courageously they are carrying out their evil acts,” said an official in a message to police .
He added that the repeated attacks have not only damaged school property but also disturbed the peaceful academic atmosphere ahead of the festive season.
“A group of youth threw fire bombs inside our school campus on the 21st and again this evening, breaking glasses. I request the administration to take strict action against such antisocial elements who destroy the spirit of Diwali,” he appealed.
Taking prompt note of the complaint, City SP and his team have assured firm action against the culprits.
Police sources confirmed that investigations are underway and surveillance footage from nearby areas is being examined to identify the miscreants involved.
In a follow-up message shared with the media and local community groups, the official urged the public to maintain peace and help protect educational institutions from such disruptive acts.
“I request the media to educate our people not to disturb the peaceful atmosphere of schools and our communities. Your support will help schools continue educating students in a harmonious environment,” he said.
The incident has sparked concern among parents and educators, who have called for stronger security measures around schools, especially during festive seasons.
Residents too have appealed to the authorities for increased patrolling in sensitive zones to prevent recurrence of such acts.
The police have assured that strict steps will be taken against those responsible for the attack and that maintaining law and order remains their top priority.
