UditVani, Jamshedpur : A car rammed into the central divider near Sir Dorabjee Park under Bistupur police station area on Thursday evening after a sudden tyre burst caused the driver to lose control.
The impact was severe enough to break the vehicle’s right axle and damage the iron railing along the divider.
The car was being driven by Akash, a resident of Kagalnagar in Sonari, who was returning home from Sakchi at the time of the incident.
Fortunately, both occupants of the vehicle escaped unhurt.
The mishap led to brief traffic disruption on the busy stretch, resulting in a temporary vehicular backlog.
Police reached the spot promptly and cleared the damaged vehicle with the help of a crane, restoring normal traffic flow.
Preliminary investigation suggests that the tyre burst triggered the accident. Police have urged motorists to ensure regular vehicle maintenance and exercise caution while driving.
