
UditVani, Jamshedpur : Arish Gaddi, an eight-year-old boy abducted from Ramdas Bhatta under Bistupur police station on Thursday evening, has been safely rescued by authorities.
The abductors abandoned Arish near a police station in Murshidabad district, West Bengal, and fled.
Local police took the child into their custody and informed Jamshedpur police, who are now bringing him back to the city.
Arish, a Class III student at Narbheram Hansraj Public School, is the son of electrician Firdaus Gaddi and lives with his parents and younger sister.
His family reported that he was playing near his home Thursday evening and did not return by 6 p.m., prompting a frantic search.
A construction worker spotted Arish with an unknown man, and CCTV footage later confirmed that the child was taken around 7:45 p.m. Police investigations traced the abductors’ route through Galudih toll plaza toward West Bengal.
Under growing public pressure and social media attention, the kidnappers released Arish near the Murshidabad police station and escaped.
Police have confirmed his safe recovery and are actively investigating to identify and apprehend those responsible.
