UditVani, Jamshedpur: In the heart of West Singhbhum, the Adani Foundation’s grassroots sports initiative is transforming the lives of tribal youth by opening pathways from the playground to professional life.
One such remarkable journey is that of 19-year-old Manjhi Sundi from Cheriya Pahadi village in Jhinkpani block.
Manjhi honed his talent at the Adani Foundation Football Training Centre in Jhinkpani, where he received structured coaching under trainer Jitendra Bari. His hard work and determination earned him a spot in the Jharkhand Under-20 Football Team, marking a proud moment for his village and the district.
Building on his discipline and confidence, Manjhi later cleared the State Home Guard Recruitment Examination, securing a government role that now provides him with financial security and a chance to serve society.
For the Adani Foundation and ACC Chaibasa, his success is more than just an individual achievement—it is proof of how targeted training, mentorship, and opportunities can empower rural communities. Manjhi today stands as a beacon of hope for other tribal youth aspiring to rise through both sports and service.
