Jamshedpur : At least nine persons were injured in an
accident at the Steel Melting Shop of Tata Steel’s Kalinganagar plant in Odisha today.
The mishap took place at around 11.30 am .
The company confirned that nine individuals were injured in the incident and were immediately taken to Tata Steel Medica Hospital for medical attention and one of them has already been discharged from the hospital after first aid.
“The medical team is attending to the injured and has confirmed that everyone is now out of danger, ” said a company pressure statement.
“We are committed to providing them with the best possible care and all necessary efforts are being made to ensure their well-being, ” added the statement.
The incident has been intimated to the concerned authorities and the family members of the injured persons.
The incident site has been barricaded and internal investigation is underway.
The press statement further stated, ” Please do not believe in the fake videos that are being circulated in the social media as the incident of our plant.
As a responsible corporate, safety and wellbeing of our employees and all our stakeholders are our top priority.”
