
UditVani, Jamshedpur : Tata Steel Zoological Park has invited the citizens of Jamshedpur to become part of a rare and memorable moment — the naming of two female tiger cubs born on 27 November 2025. The initiative aims to strengthen the bond between wildlife conservation efforts and community participation.
About the Tiger Cubs
The two female cubs were born healthy and are currently under careful supervision by the zoo authorities. According to established wildlife protocols, the cubs will be introduced to the public display area after completing three months. Until then, their health, growth, and behaviour are being continuously monitored through CCTV surveillance to ensure their well-being.
Call for Name Suggestions
Residents are encouraged to suggest meaningful and culturally resonant names for the tiger cubs. Entries can be sent via SMS or WhatsApp to 8709572018. The last date for submission is Tuesday, 13 January 2026.

Selection and Announcement
A dedicated selection process will be carried out by the authorities, and the most meaningful and suitable names will be officially accorded to the cubs on 16 January 2026. The selected participants will be informed individually by the zoo management.
Rewards for Selected Participants
Those whose names are selected will receive six complimentary visitor passes for Tata Steel Zoological Park, valid for three visits during the year 2026. In addition, winners will get one complimentary cart ride with a capacity of six persons, applicable on the first visit only. A special photo opportunity with another tiger at its enclosure will also be provided, subject to availability.
A Note for Participants
The complimentary passes are non-transferable and strictly valid as per the mentioned conditions. The zoo authorities have urged citizens to participate enthusiastically and contribute to this joyful chapter in the park’s conservation journey.
