UditVani, Jamshedpur: XITE Gamharia ( an autonomous college) inaugurated its new Student Resource Centre (SRC) today.
The centre aimed at enhancing students’ learning experiences and ensuring seamless access to government-provided benefits.
The centre is equipped with essential facilities, including a photocopy service and has designated Y. Dilip Kumar as the in-charge to assist students in filling out scholarship and competitive exam forms.
The inauguration was done by Fr. E. A. Francis, SJ, Principal. Present were Fr Mukti Clarence, SJ, Vice Principal, Ashish Singh, Head, Branding & Communication Department.
As the only autonomous college under Kolhan University, XITE has consistently demonstrated academic excellence and outstanding achievements in extracurricular activities.
In addition to government scholarships, the college also offers scholarships to deserving students, reflecting its commitment to supporting the educational journey of its diverse student body. Remarkably, around 50% of the college’s total students belong to tribal communities.
The college also boasts excellent sports facilities, including two basketball courts, a football ground, and two badminton courts, fostering holistic development among students.
The newly inaugurated Student Resource Centre (SRC) is expected to play a pivotal role in streamlining administrative processes for students and further cementing XITE Gamharia’s reputation as a premier institution for higher learning in the region.
