This adage proves true for the century old Tilak Pustakalaya in Bistupur, the East Singhbhum district Congress headquarter which was inaugurated today after a complete renovation.
President of Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee ( JPCC) Keshav Mahto Kamlesh inaugurated the renovated 102- year- Congress office amid the presence of several senior Congress leaders including former health minister Banna Gupta and party’s district president Anand Bihari Dubey.
The inaugural function began with a Puja followed by cutting of the ribbon by the party ‘s state chief.
Addressing partymen soon after the inauguration Keshav Mahto Kamlesh said the renovated party office will boost the morale of workers.
According to him, initially the party Singhbhum office was being operated from Chaibasa which was later shifted to Bistupur.
” The dilapidated office underwent complete renovation where party meetings and seminars can now be held properly, ” he said and thanked former minister Banna Gupta for taking the initiative for renovating the dilapidated building during his tenure.
Congress district president Anand Bihari Dubey said, ” It’s a matter of pride for all Congressmen here that the office got renovated. They will now have a proper place for meetings and other party events.”
Notably, the landmark Tilak Pustakalaya in Bistupur, a commercial hub played host to several senior Congress national and state leaders in the past.
