UditVani, Jamshedpur: Tivolt Electric Vehicles Private Limited (Tivolt), a subsidiary of the Murugappa Group and part of TI Clean Mobility, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a leader in India’s renewable energy sector and EV charging solutions. This strategic partnership aims to enhance the e-mobility infrastructure for commercial vehicles across the country.
Strengthening EV Charging Infrastructure
The collaboration focuses on building a comprehensive and accessible EV charging ecosystem for small electric commercial vehicles. Leveraging Tata Power’s expertise in diversified EV charging solutions, the partnership will help expand Tivolt’s growing network of electric vehicles, ensuring reliable charging infrastructure for commercial EV owners.
Expanding Reach with Strategic Locations
The MoU was signed by Saju Nair, CEO of Tivolt Electric Vehicles, and Virendra Goyal, Head of Business Development for EV Charging at TPREL, in the presence of Shivram Bikkina, Chief of Solar Rooftop and EV Charging Business at TPREL. The agreement will see TPREL utilize its vast experience to establish and manage EV charging infrastructure across Tivolt dealerships, customer locations, and high-traffic public spaces.
Leveraging Solar Energy for Sustainability
In addition to providing charging solutions, TPREL will explore integrating solar energy systems to power Tivolt’s dealerships and customer locations. This sustainable approach aims to reduce the carbon footprint while lowering charging costs, making the transition to electric vehicles more affordable and eco-friendly for consumers.
Driving Growth in the Commercial EV Sector
TPREL’s efforts are not limited to this partnership. The company has already provided over 200 customized EV charging stations in more than 100 cities, including major hubs like Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Chennai. By expanding this infrastructure, TPREL is empowering small and commercial vehicle owners with reliable, accessible charging solutions.
