UditVani, Jamshedpur : In a significant breakthrough, police have arrested four criminals in connection with the sensational murder of fruit trader Kanhaiya Yadav near Tinplate Sports Complex under the Golmuri police station area.
Following the incident, the Senior Superintendent of Police constituted a special investigation team, which launched immediate raids at multiple locations.
Acting swiftly, the team apprehended all four accused allegedly involved in the crime.
During the operation, police recovered two pistols suspected to have been used in the murder, along with seven empty cartridges and three live pellets from the possession of the accused.
All four have been remanded to judicial custody. Police officials said further investigation is underway to uncover the motive and ascertain whether more individuals were involved.
Kanhaiya Yadav was shot in a brazen daylight attack near Namda Basti under the Golmuri police station area.
He later succumbed to his injuries at Tata Main Hospital (TMH) on Wednesday.
The incident had triggered widespread outrage in the steel city, with angry residents staging a gherao at the Golmuri police station, demanding the immediate arrest of those responsible.
