Udit Vani, Jamshedpur: Jharkhand is likely to witness stable and dry weather conditions over the next few days, marked by chilly mornings and clear skies as the day advances.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), shallow to moderate fog is expected to prevail during the early morning hours across several parts of the state from December 16 to December 19.
The fog is likely to gradually dissipate by late morning, paving the way for mainly clear weather during the rest of the day.
No rainfall activity is forecast during this period, and dry conditions are set to continue.
The outlook for the subsequent two days also suggests no significant synoptic system affecting Jharkhand. North-westerly to northerly winds are expected to dominate the lower tropospheric levels, contributing to stable atmospheric conditions.
Weather conditions during the past 24 hours remained dry across the state. Chaibasa recorded the highest maximum temperature at 27.4°C, while Kanke registered the lowest minimum temperature at 6°C, underscoring the intensifying winter chill, particularly during night and early morning hours.
Ranchi reported a minimum temperature of 9.6°C, whereas Jamshedpur remained comparatively warmer with a minimum of 13.6°C.
Residents have been advised to exercise caution during foggy morning hours, especially while commuting, as reduced visibility may pose risks on roads.
