
UditVani, Jamshedpur : The upcoming 45-Ghatshila (ST) Assembly by-election has entered an intriguing phase after the scrutiny of nomination papers left 14 candidates in contention, while three nominations were rejected by election officials.
According to the official communication from the Office of the District Election Officer, East Singhbhum, the nomination papers of Malti Tudu (Independent), Dukhiram Mandi (Aapki Vikas Party), and Mangal Murmu (Rashtriya Sanatan Party) were found invalid during scrutiny.
The list of candidates whose nominations were accepted includes:

3. Babulal Soren (BJP)
4. Somesh Chandra Soren (JMM)
5. Parvati Hansda (People’s Party of India – Democratic)
6. Mansa Ram Hansda (Independent)

8. Vikas Hembram (Independent)
9. Panchanan Soren (Bharat Adivasi Party – BAP)
10. Basant Kumar Topno (Independent)
11. Ramdas Murmu (JLKAM)
12. Manoj Kumar Singh (Independent)
13. Vikram Kisku (Independent)
14. Ramkrishna Kanti Mahali (Independent)
With major political players like the BJP and JMM in the fray, alongside a significant number of independents, the Ghatshila by-election is poised for a multi-cornered and closely contested battle.
