
UditVani, Jamshedpur: In a moment of pride for Jharkhand, Chatra district has secured the first position among 112 Aspirational Districts in the country, according to the March 2025 Delta Rankings released by NITI Aayog during an online review meeting on Friday.
The district’s exceptional performance is the outcome of collaborative efforts by the administration and multiple departments, focusing on impactful execution of government schemes and local innovations. Chatra was especially applauded for its multidimensional progress in health, nutrition, education, agriculture, financial inclusion, and infrastructure.
As part of the recognition, NITI Aayog will award ₹10 crore to Chatra to further boost development initiatives at the district level.
Deputy Commissioner Kirti Shree extended heartfelt congratulations to the entire administrative machinery, public representatives, and the people of Chatra. She called the achievement a matter of immense pride and reaffirmed the district’s commitment to maintaining this momentum.
“This success is a reflection of Chatra’s dedicated efforts in translating the goals of the Aspirational District Programme into ground reality,” she added.
In a related highlight, Garhwa district was also recognised for its exemplary performance in the education sector, further showcasing Jharkhand’s growing footprint in transformative governance.
