Udit Vani, Jamshedpur : A residential building owned by Tayo Rolls Company collapsed this morning in the TGS Colony area of Gamharia, located in the adjoining Seraikela-Kharsawan district.
The building had previously been declared unsafe for habitation, vacated, and properly barricaded to prevent access.
Tata Steel, in an official statement, confirmed that there were no casualties or property damage as a result of the collapse.
The company’s emergency response team was promptly deployed to the site and is currently assessing the situation.
Authorities have ensured that the surrounding area remains secure and safe for residents.
The cause of the collapse is under investigation, but officials have reiterated that the structure was already marked hazardous and had been out of use.
