Uditvani, Jharkhand: The Department of Sanskrit at Sona Devi University, Ghatshila, is set to host a one-day virtual lecture series on April 25, highlighting the timeless wisdom of ancient Indian texts.
The theme for this intellectual gathering is “Greatest Life Values Embedded in the Indian Knowledge Tradition and the Vedas.”
Dr. Shailesh Kumar Mishra, a renowned academic and assistant professor at Government Sanskrit College, Ranchi (affiliated with Vinoba Bhave University), will deliver the keynote address. Recognized by prestigious institutions such as the Delhi Sanskrit Academy and the Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute, Pune, Dr. Mishra brings over twenty years of experience in Sanskrit language and literature.
A gold medalist in both Sanskrit and Hindi at the postgraduate level, Dr. Mishra has contributed significantly to the field through more than twenty-five research publications and numerous presentations at national and international seminars.
His scholarly work also includes authoring several books and editing key classical texts in both Sanskrit and Hindi.
The event is open to all, and participation is free through online registration.
The lecture series is being organized under the leadership of Dr. Saikat Chakraborty, Head of the Sanskrit Department at Sona Devi University, with assistant professor Kumari Nikita coordinating the program.
