UditVani, Jamshedpur: IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre’s forecast today suggested rain and thunderstorm activity at several places.
The Meteorological Centre also issued an alert of isolated hail over southern and eastern parts of the state today.
According to the forecast, thunderstorm and lightning accompanied with gusty wind (max wind speed: 40-50 kmph) likely at isolated places over southern and eastern parts of the state today.
Thunderstorm and lightning accompanied with gusty wind (max wind speed: 30-40 kmph) is also likely at isolated places over western and north-eastern parts of the state today.
Tomorrow, thunderstorm and lightning is expected at isolated places over eastern parts of the state.
Satellite pictures indicated a trough stretched from north Bangladesh to Telangana across Gangetic West
Bengal, interior Odisha and southern Chhattisgarh extending upto 1.5 Km above mean sea level.
However, weathermen said the system was gradually becoming weak.
Weathermen said the minimum temperature witnessed a gradual rise in most parts of the state.
The minimum temperature will continue to witness a rising trend due to retreating phase of winter.
