UditVani, Jamshedpur : The fourth edition of annual fest “Technica 4.0” , kicked off at the Arka Jain University today.
The annual fest is based on innovation, creativity and technological excellence.
This year’s theme is “Mirai: Creating Tomorrow’s Innovations Today”, which reflected the commitment towards shaping a bright and innovative future through talent, creativity and collaboration.
The event was organized under the guidance of Ashwini Kumar, Dean of the University Engineering and IT Department.
The chief guest of the event, Captain Amitabh, Head of Tata Steel Skill Department, while addressing the students, highlighted the developments taking place in the field of science.
He said that it is the era of science and technology.

Motivating the students, he said that all students should keep moving forward in the field of science and continuously develop their skills.
He further said that technical knowledge is important not only for career but also for the development of society and the country.
Captain Amitabh urged the students to adopt latest technologies, take interest in new research and contribute to innovations.
On this occasion, he appreciated India’s achievements in the technical field and inspired the students to take it to greater heights.
The special guest IDTR managing director Anand Dayal gave detailed information about the various facilities available at the MSME Technology Centre.
He told the students and dignitaries present that the center is equipped with modern technological equipment and advanced facilities, providing the necessary resources to the students and entrepreneurs for latest technological training and development.
Key features and competitions of Technica 4.0 :
This year around 1900 participants from more than 60 institutions across the country are participating in Technica 4.0.
The event has become a better platform to push the boundaries of possibilities in the field of science and technology through innovation, knowledge and creativity.
The event includes many exciting competitions and activities. These include Ideathon coding competitions, circuit designing, junkyard battles, robotics challenges, mechanical workshops, sprints, tech startup pitches and other competitions.
All these activities are designed with the aim of enabling the participants to hone their skills, learn from industry experts and inspire innovation.

Vice Chancellor of the University, Easwaran Iyer while inspiring students towards innovation, said, “Technical education is not only a medium for career building, but it is also a means to bring positive change in the society.”
