UDIT VANI Jamshedpur : Tata Motors Workers Union polls will be held at the Jamshedpur plant premises on November 26.
The union has its rolls 5,516 registered workers across the plant.
The election process involves selection of key leadership positions.
Additionally, voting will determine 85 committee members through direct worker participation.
“We have ensured all arrangements for transparent elections,” a union representative said.
Additionally, the committee will select 25 office bearers in the upcoming voting.
The leadership positions include posts of president, general secretary, and treasurer.
On the other hand, several posts exist for executive chairman and joint general secretary.
Apart from single posts, elections are to be held for eight vice-president posts.
The tenure of the current union ends on December 31.
Election schedule at a glance ,:
November 19 – Election rules, publication of constituency, claims – application for objection.
November 20 – Final publication of constituency, publication of voter list, claims – application for objection.
November 21 – Final publication of voter list and distribution of nomination papers.
November 22 – Submission of nomination papers and publication of list of nomination papers.
November 23 – Scrutiny of nomination papers, publication of list of candidates.
November 25 – Return of nomination papers and final publication of the list of candidates, distribution of ballot paper samples and identity cards to the candidates.
November 26 – Voting from 8 am to 5 pm, department wise.
November 26 – From 6 pm till the end of counting of votes and meeting of newly elected committee members, election of co-option, election of office bearers.
Elections will be held to elect 85 committee member and 25 office bearers of the union.
