UditVani, Jamshedpur: A new dialysis centre was inaugurated at Ardeshir Dalal Memorial Hospital (ADMH) campus in Baridih today.
The Dialysis Centre was inaugurated by Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President, Corporate Services, Tata Steel in the presence of senior office-bearers of Tata Workers’ Union (TWU), Tata Main Hospital and ADMH officials.
Speaking on the occasion, he said, “In 1996, the first Dialysis Centre was set up in ADMH Jamshedpur, with 3 machines and 9 beds. I can say with great pride that ADMH has been serving the people of Jamshedpur for the past 26 years and will continue to do so in the years to come. With today’s inauguration of the Dialysis Centre, we will be able to provide high quality support to those in need. This centre has been made operational with 20 beds and will have the capacity to serve 60 patients every day. I would like to congratulate all who have contributed to this endeavour. Tata Steel and ADMH will continue to collaborate with NephroPlus and serve the community better.”
ADMH has also received the CTE (Consent to Establish) and CTO (Consent to Operate) for its operation sometime back. ADMH is having state-of-the-art facilities like Patient Monitoring System, a new RO plant, Dialyser and 15 KLD (Kilo Litres per Day) Effluent Treatment Plant.
The foundation stone for ADMH was laid by Sir JRD Tata in 1952, in memory of Sir Ardeshir Dalal, who was an Indian Parsi civil servant who was associated with the Tata Group.
ADMH has set up a hospital in Baridih for providing medical care to society in an affordable manner.
In December 2019, Tata Steel had signed an MoU with NephroPlus, one of India’s largest network of dialysis centres, currently responsible for running the operations of ADMH Dialysis Centre. It will now have better facilities and accessibility for citizens.
