शाम के समय वाईआई जमशेदपुर ने जमशेदपुर पुलिस के साथ मिलकर बिष्टुपुर में मशाल जुलूस निकाला. यह जुलूस सुरक्षित सड़क, जिम्मेदार राइडिंग और सामूहिक जागरूकता के संकल्प का प्रतीक बना. रोड सेफ्टी वीक का समापन 1 फरवरी को आयोजित बाइक रैली के साथ होगा. यह रैली सुबह 8 बजे, जेआरडी टाटा स्पोर्ट्स कॉम्प्लेक्स के सामने से रवाना होगी. रैली को हेलमेट मैन राघवेंद्र कुमार और सिटी एसपी कुमार शिवाशिष हरी झंडी दिखाकर रवाना करेंगे. इस रैली में 100 से अधिक राइडर्स के शामिल होने की संभावना है, जिनमें बाइकर्स ग्रुप, कॉलेज छात्र, वाईआई के सदस्य और सहयोगी संगठन शामिल रहेंगे. रैली का उद्देश्य तेज रफ्तार और लापरवाह राइडिंग की सोच को चुनौती देते हुए यह संदेश देना है कि धैर्य, सतर्कता और ट्रैफिक नियमों का पालन ही सुरक्षित व बेहतर राइडिंग की पहचान है.

As part of the initiative, Raghvendra Kumar-popularly known as the “Helmet Man of India”-visited Jamshedpur on Saturday, inspiring students and young citizens to rethink their approach to road safety.

The day began with an interactive session at Arka Jain University at 10.30 am, where the Helmet Man addressed students on the life-saving importance of helmets, discipline on the road, and mindful riding.

His message—delivered with conviction and real-life examples-resonated strongly with the youth.

Later in the afternoon, between 3 pm and 5 pm, an event was held at the Kudy Mohanty Auditorium, Kadma, in association with the Tata Steel SAFE Club.

The session brought together youngsters from across the city for an engaging exchange on road safety.

A lively fireside chat with the Helmet Man, moderated by Siddharth Agarwal, Chair- Road Safety, Yi Jamshedpur, added depth to the discussion, blending personal stories with practical takeaways.

As evening fell, Yi Jamshedpur, in association with the Jamshedpur Police, organised a ‘Mashal Julus’ (torch-light procession) in Bistupur, symbolising a collective resolve to illuminate the path toward safer roads.

The Road Safety Week will culminate on February 1 with a Bike Rally promoting safe riding practices.

The rally will be flagged off at 8 am from opposite the JRD Tata Sports Complex by the Helmet Man and City SP Kumar Shivashish.

Over 100 riders-including members of biker groups, college students, Yi members, and partner organisations-are expected to participate.

The rally aims to challenge the notion that speed and rash riding define biking.

Instead, it underscores that patience, awareness, and adherence to traffic rules not only prevent accidents but also make riding more fulfilling.

Over the past week, Yi Jamshedpur has actively engaged schools, colleges, and communities through initiatives such as Chhota Cop sessions, Farishte awareness programmes, first responder training, and public interactions, all focused on nurturing a culture of road safety.

Organised under the banner of Yi Jamshedpur’s Road Safety Week, these efforts reiterate a simple yet powerful message: safety and enjoyment can-and must-go hand in hand.

” The Bay of Bengal has long been more than just a body of water. It has been a cradle of civilizations, a bridge between cultures, and a highway of commerce. Today, as we reimagine this connection in the digital age, we aren’t just reflecting on our shared past, we are crafting our collective future, ” he explained.

Union minister of labour and youth affairs Mansukh L Mandaviya formally inaugurated the BIMSTEC Youth Summit at Gandhinagar today.

Mandaviya emphasized India’s role in the BIMSTEC region, highlighting skill-building initiatives that improved youth employability from 33.95% to 54.81%.

The Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, is organizing the five- day BIMSTEC Youth Summit.

During the 4th BIMSTEC Summit in Kathmandu on August 30-31, 2018, the Prime Minister of India announced the hosting of a three-day BIMSTEC Youth Summit, aimed at bringing together the youth of BIMSTEC nations on a unified platform to exchange experiences and insights on youth-led initiatives undertaken by member states.

The primary objective of the BIMSTEC Youth Summit is to facilitate the exchange of experiences and youth-led initiatives among member countries. Centered around the theme “Youth as a Bridge for Intra-BIMSTEC Exchange,” the summit seeks to harness the collective energy of young leaders to advance the region’s shared goals.

The Government of India aims to channel this youthful energy towards achieving the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.

The summit will provide an invaluable platform for dialogue on the progress and advancement of SDGs, bringing together 70 delegates from BIMSTEC nations.

Each member country will be represented by 10 youth delegates, selected for their expertise in key areas, fostering targeted discussions that will contribute to meaningful outcomes from the summit.

Key Objectives of the Summit

* To inspire young leaders from member countries to actively engage in addressing pressing global challenges, economic and social issues, and youth-related development agendas.

* To foster a constructive exchange of perspectives on strategic issues that empower youth

* To generate innovative ideas and solutions that contribute to creating a brighter and more sustainable future for the region and beyond.

A session on “Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue X BIMSTEC” will also be held, offering a platform for young leaders to showcase key youth development initiatives from their respective countries.

Additionally, the summit will feature a session on Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), an initiative announced by the Prime Minister of India.

This initiative represents a comprehensive institutional mechanism powered by technology for youth development and youth-led progress.

Mera Yuva Bharat aims to provide equitable access to opportunities for youth, helping them realize their aspirations and contribute to building an Amrit Bharat by 2047.

The session will also demonstrate how the Government of India is utilizing technology to support youth welfare, offering valuable insights to delegates from other BIMSTEC nations.

The delegates will also have the opportunity to explore key cultural and modern landmarks.

They will visit Dandi Kutir, India’s largest and only museum dedicated to the life and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi, as well as Sabarmati Ashram, the former residence of Mahatma Gandhi and a center for promoting his principles of non-violence and self-reliance.

They will also visit the Sabarmati Riverfront, and GIFT City (Gujarat International Finance Tec-City), India’s first operational smart city and International Financial Services Centre (IFSC). GIFT City is designed to drive global financial services, technology, and innovation.

The visit to GIFT City will offer youth delegates a firsthand experience of India’s aspirations to become a global financial and technology hub, showcasing cutting-edge smart city innovations and the dynamic landscape of global commerce.

This experience will inspire delegates to shape the future of their own economies and communities.

The Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) is a regional organization comprising seven member states: India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Nepal, and Bhutan.

BIMSTEC focuses on tackling shared challenges like climate change, poverty, and sustainable development, while strengthening political, security, and economic cooperation among the countries bordering the Bay of Bengal.
