झारखंड की मिनी बालिका टीम ने प्रतियोगिता के फाइनल में शानदार प्रदर्शन करते हुए महाराष्ट्र को सीधे दो सेटों में 21-10 और 21-16 से हराकर स्वर्ण पदक अपने नाम किया. टीम की सामूहिक खेल भावना और रणनीतिक कौशल की सराहना हर ओर हो रही है.

बालक टीम को करना पड़ा रजत से संतोष
वहीं, मिनी बालक टीम को भी फाइनल में महाराष्ट्र से कड़ी टक्कर मिली. मुकाबला तीन सेटों तक चला जिसमें झारखंड ने पहले दो सेट में 21-18 और 21-15 से अच्छा खेल दिखाया, पर अंततः उन्हें रजत पदक से संतोष करना पड़ा.

संघ के पदाधिकारियों ने दी बधाई
झारखंड के खिलाड़ियों की इस उपलब्धि पर टेनिस वॉलीबॉल संघ झारखंड के महासचिव बृजेश गुप्ता, पूर्वी सिंहभूम के सचिव अरशद अली और सरायकेला-खरसावां के सचिव दीपक कुमार समेत अन्य पदाधिकारियों ने खिलाड़ियों, कोच और प्रबंधन को हार्दिक शुभकामनाएं दीं.

The day commenced with the much-awaited 1st Fr. Cecil Leeming Volleyball Tournament, held in honour of Loyola School’s revered Founder Principal, Fr. Cecil Leeming. The tournament was not just a competitive event but a celebration of sportsmanship, unity, and teamwork.

The chief guest for the occasion was Fr. Charles Pareira, former Provincial of the Jamshedpur Province and Rector of Loyola School (1987–1993).

Other dignitaries in attendance included Fr. K.M. Joseph, S.J., Rector; Fr. Vinod Fernandes, S.J., Principal; Jayanthi Sheshadri, Vice-Principal (Senior Section); alumni members and coaches of the 13 participating schools.

Fr. Pareira was welcomed with a sapling by Fr. Fernandes and felicitated with a shawl by Fr. Joseph.

The welcome address was delivered by Fr. Fernandes, following which Fr. Pareira addressed the gathering and officially declared the tournament open.

The sportsmanship pledge was administered by Raj Nandini Rana, a promising athlete from Loyola.

Later in the day, Loyola School witnessed another landmark moment — the official Raising of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) unit on campus. Known for shaping disciplined and patriotic citizens, the inclusion of NCC marks a significant milestone in the school’s journey.

The ceremony was graced by Colonel Vinay Ahuja, Commanding Officer, Indian Army, as Chief Guest. Accompanying him were ADM Col. Prem Chandra Jha, Subedar Major Ravin Khandal, and three other officers. The event began with the powerful NCC anthem, setting a patriotic tone.

Col. Ahuja was welcomed by Fr. Fernandes and felicitated by Fr. Joseph, while a memento was presented by Sheshadri as a token of appreciation. Kripa Bhatia, a student, delivered an insightful speech on the relevance of NCC, followed by a presentation by GCI Ruchita Gautam. The official declaration of the NCC unit’s raising was made by Col. Ahuja.

In his inspiring address, Col. Ahuja urged students to actively participate in NCC activities and uphold its values of unity and discipline. Fr. Fernandes also shared words of encouragement.

The event also included the inauguration of the NCC Office and unveiling of the NCC Board near Gate No. 1.

The twin events underscored Loyola School’s commitment to holistic student development, promoting leadership, teamwork, discipline, and patriotism among its pupils.

इस ऐतिहासिक दिन का दूसरा महत्वपूर्ण आयोजन था एनसीसी (राष्ट्रीय कैडेट कोर) का शुभारंभ. वर्षों से एनसीसी ने युवाओं में अनुशासन, नेतृत्व और देशभक्ति की भावना विकसित करने में अहम भूमिका निभाई है. यह शुभारंभ लॉयला स्कूल के गौरव में एक और स्वर्णिम अध्याय जोड़ने जैसा था.

इस अवसर के मुख्य अतिथि थे भारतीय सेना के कमांडिंग ऑफिसर कर्नल विनय आहूजा. अन्य विशिष्ट अतिथियों में एडीएम कर्नल प्रेम चंद्र झा, सुबेदार मेजर रविन खंडाल और तीन अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारी उपस्थित थे.

अपने प्रेरणादायक संबोधन में कर्नल विनय आहूजा ने छात्रों को एनसीसी में सक्रिय भागीदारी के लिए प्रेरित किया और इसकी मूलभूत शिक्षाओं—अनुशासन, सेवा और नेतृत्व—के महत्व को समझाया. फ्र. प्राचार्य ने भी अपने विचार साझा करते हुए छात्रों को इस पहल का अधिकतम लाभ उठाने की सलाह दी.

The event was attended by seven teams, which contributed significantly to its success.

The winning team, Tata Steel Ltd., performed like a champion team and faced fierce opposition from Tata Engineering & Automation Limited, the runners-up, and Tata Steel Gamharia, the second-runners-up.

Tata Steel sports department officials Mukul Choudhari, P Surendra Kumar, Firoz Khan, Sanjay kumar Mishra, Rajeev Kumar Mishra and Vijay Choudhari were also present on the occasion.
