The upgraded initiative focuses on holistic student growth through targeted upskilling, with five key competencies identified based on inputs from school principals.

The programme’s first module—centered on social and cultural skill development—was formally introduced during the launch event.

The session was led by Jiren Topno of the Tata Steel Foundation, who was joined by Pratik, James Minz, and Boipoi.

The initiative was made possible through the dedicated efforts of Vidya Battiwala and Kajal Patel from Tata Steel.

Addressing an audience of 340 students and teachers from 17 schools across Jamshedpur, Topno delivered an engaging and insightful session on the diverse tribal heritage of Jharkhand.

He introduced participants to the region’s tribes, languages, governance structures, cultural practices, and educational systems.

A key highlight of the session was the emphasis on the shared ecological ethos among tribal communities—the deep-rooted commitment to protecting nature, respecting its resources, and preserving flora and fauna.

The message underscored the importance of environmental stewardship as a collective responsibility.

Topno’s compelling oratory held the audience spellbound throughout the 75-minute session, leaving students and educators enriched with a deeper understanding of Jharkhand’s cultural fabric.

The programme concluded on a note of appreciation, with the school community expressing gratitude to Tata Steel for spearheading an initiative that promises to shape well-rounded, socially aware students in the academic year 2026–27.

पारंपरिक व्यंजन: आदिवासी समुदाय के लजीज पकवान।

शिल्प और कला: पारंपरिक परिधान, जड़ी-बूटियां, आर्ट-क्राफ्ट और फर्नीचर।

आधुनिक प्रदर्शनी: इलेक्ट्रॉनिक गैजेट्स, कार और बाइक के स्टॉल्स भी शामिल हैं।

राजनीतिक दिग्गजों और गणमान्य हस्तियों की मौजूदगी

इस भव्य आयोजन में झारखंड के कई प्रमुख नेताओं के शामिल होने की संभावना है। आमंत्रित अतिथियों में चंपई सोरेन, अर्जुन मुंडा, मधु कोड़ा, मीरा मुंडा, गीता कोड़ा, दशरथ गागराई और सांसद विद्युत वरण महतो के नाम शामिल हैं। इसके अलावा, जोहार ट्रस्ट द्वारा विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में उत्कृष्ट कार्य करने वाली विभूतियों को सम्मानित भी किया जाएगा।
