खबरों के अनुसार, पिछले सप्ताह हुई बोर्ड की बैठक में विल्सन का इस्तीफा स्वीकार कर लिया गया था, लेकिन उत्तराधिकारी मिलने तक वे कंपनी में बने रहेंगे।

सरकार द्वारा टाटा समूह को एयरलाइन बेचे जाने के बाद विल्सन को 2022 में पांच साल के अनुबंध पर सीईओ और प्रबंध निदेशक के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया था। उनका कार्यकाल जुलाई 2027 में समाप्त होना था। एयरलाइन में शामिल होने से पहले विल्सन ने सिंगापुर एयरलाइंस की पूर्ण स्वामित्व वाली कम लागत वाली सहायक कंपनी स्कूट के सीईओ के रूप में कार्य किया था।

Chandrasekaran was in Jamshedpur to attend the 187th birth anniversary celebrations of Tata Group founder Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata.

Paying homage at the main function held at the Tata Steel Works premises, he extended Founder’s Day greetings to the citizens and reaffirmed the Group’s commitment to growth and nation-building.

Speaking to the media, Chandrasekaran noted that the Tata Group imports limestone and other key raw materials from the Middle East.

Given the Group’s widespread global footprint, any extended geopolitical instability in the region could disrupt supply chains, logistics networks, delivery schedules and sustainability goals.

“If the conflict continues for a long time, it may affect global trade flows and operational systems,” he said, while reiterating that there is currently no immediate fallout for India or Tata businesses.

Emphasising employee welfare, he stated that Tata Group personnel are engaged across manufacturing, services, hospitality and other sectors worldwide.

“The safety and well-being of our employees and their families remain our top priority,” he said, adding that the Group is closely monitoring developments and taking necessary precautions.

On employment, Chandrasekaran highlighted the steady expansion of the workforce driven by new projects and capacity enhancements.

Over the past five to six years, the Group’s employee strength has grown from around seven lakh to nearly 11 lakh.

The target is to increase this to 15 lakh over the next five to six years. He also underlined plans to raise women’s participation in the workforce to 28–30 per cent.

Addressing concerns around emerging technologies, he said that while apprehensions about job losses due to new technologies are natural, artificial intelligence is expected to create fresh opportunities across steel, automotive, finance and other sectors.

He added that this technological transformation would also benefit Tata Consultancy Services by opening new avenues of innovation and growth.

Among those present on the occasion was T. V. Narendran, CEO and Managing Director of Tata Steel, along with other senior officials.

Focus on skill development
On skill development, Chandrasekaran said a lot of work still needs to be done. While some initiatives are already underway, he noted that the state has plans for much larger programmes. He said the Tata Group would partner with the state to upgrade existing skills and create new ones on a much larger scale in Jharkhand.

CSR footprint to be expanded
Chandrasekaran said the Tata Group would also increase its CSR footprint in Jharkhand. While Tata Steel is already undertaking extensive CSR work, support will also come from the Group centre and other companies to enhance CSR efforts in priority areas identified by the state.

₹11,000 crore investment in advanced technology steel
He announced that Tata Steel has committed another ₹11,000 crore of new investment for developing advanced technology steel. He said this technology would help process steel faster while reducing carbon emissions. Chandrasekaran added that Tata Steel has pioneered and developed this technology and that the first investment would be made in Jamshedpur. He described it as a very important project, noting that Tata Steel’s global footprint would allow the technology to benefit other steel companies as well.

Hydrogen truck investment at Tata Motors
Chandrasekaran also said that Tata Motors is making new investments in hydrogen trucks at its Jamshedpur plant. He termed it a strategically important investment and said that if the technology is developed successfully, its scope would extend beyond India to the global market.

Exploring knowledge-based industries
He added that the Chief Minister has expressed interest in the Tata Group doing something in the knowledge-based industry as well. Chandrasekaran said this would be thought through as part of an ongoing engagement with the Jharkhand government, the Chief Secretary and company officials. He said a small expert group would be formed to explore additional initiatives that could contribute to the state’s development and benefit everyone involved.

Questions relating to capital allocation discipline and long-term strategic clarity were also discussed.

Chandrasekaran, a former Chief Executive Officer of Tata Consultancy Services, joined the board of Tata Sons in October 2016 and assumed the chairmanship in January 2017.

स्थिर राजस्व, नियंत्रित खर्च
लाभ में गिरावट के बावजूद, टाटा मोटर्स का कंसोलिडेटेड राजस्व हल्की बढ़त के साथ 1,19,503 करोड़ रुपए रहा. यह एक साल पहले की तिमाही में 1,19,033 करोड़ रुपए था. कुल व्यय 1,11,136 करोड़ से घटकर 1,09,056 करोड़ रुपए रह गया, जिससे लागत पर नियंत्रण का संकेत मिलता है. मार्च तिमाही में कंपनी की कुल आय 1,21,012 करोड़ रुपए रही, जो पिछले साल के 1,20,431 करोड़ रुपए से मामूली अधिक है.

परिचालन स्तर पर मिश्रित संकेत
चौथी तिमाही में ईबीआईटीडीए (ब्याज, कर, मूल्यह्रास व परिशोधन से पहले की आय) 4.1 प्रतिशत घटकर 16,700 करोड़ रुपए रही. हालांकि, ईबीआईटी (ब्याज और कर से पहले की आय) बढ़कर 11,500 करोड़ रुपए हो गई, जो साल-दर-साल 1,000 करोड़ रुपए की बढ़त है.

शेयरधारकों को लाभांश का तोहफा
कंपनी ने वित्त वर्ष 2025 के लिए 6 रुपए प्रति इक्विटी शेयर अंतिम लाभांश की घोषणा की है. यह लाभांश आगामी वार्षिक आम बैठक में अनुमोदन के अधीन होगा और अनुमोदन मिलने पर 24 जून तक भुगतान किया जाएगा.

JLR बना सहारा
इस तिमाही में टाटा मोटर्स के लिए एक उज्जवल पहलू रहा उसकी प्रीमियम ब्रांड जगुआर लैंड रोवर (JLR). उत्तरी अमेरिका और यूरोप में उसके उच्च-मार्जिन एसयूवी की मांग के चलते जेएलआर की बिक्री मात्रा में 1.1 प्रतिशत की वृद्धि दर्ज की गई. हालांकि चीन में मांग कमजोर रही, पर वैश्विक प्रदर्शन ने घरेलू कारोबार की धीमी गति की भरपाई कर दी. तिमाही के लिए JLR का राजस्व 2.4 प्रतिशत की वृद्धि के साथ दर्ज किया गया.

कंपनी की रणनीति और आगे की राह
टाटा मोटर्स के ग्रुप सीएफओ पीबी बालाजी ने कहा कि कंपनी ने वित्त वर्ष 2025 में अब तक का सर्वाधिक वार्षिक राजस्व और अपवादात्मक मदों से पहले प्री-टैक्स लाभ दर्ज किया है. उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि कंपनी का ऑटोमोटिव बिजनेस अब कंसोलिडेटेड आधार पर कर्जमुक्त है, जिससे ब्याज लागत में कटौती हुई है.

वैश्विक जोखिम और संभावनाएं

रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, इलेक्ट्रिक दोपहिया वाहन (E2W) कुल बिक्री में 50 प्रतिशत से अधिक की हिस्सेदारी के साथ सबसे बड़ा वर्ग रहे. इस सेगमेंट ने सालाना आधार पर 19 प्रतिशत की वृद्धि दर्ज की. OLA इलेक्ट्रिक, TVS मोटर्स और बजाज इस श्रेणी में शीर्ष प्रदर्शन करने वाली कंपनियाँ रहीं, जिनकी संयुक्त बाजार हिस्सेदारी लगभग 70 प्रतिशत रही.

तिपहिया में महिंद्रा-बजाज और वाईसी इलेक्ट्रिक का वर्चस्व
इलेक्ट्रिक तिपहिया वाहन (E3W) सेगमेंट ने भी वित्त वर्ष 2025 में 11 प्रतिशत की वार्षिक वृद्धि दर्ज की. इसमें यात्री और मालवाहक वाहन दोनों शामिल हैं.पैसेंजर श्रेणी में महिंद्रा लास्ट माइल मोबिलिटी, बजाज ऑटो और YC इलेक्ट्रिक प्रमुख कंपनियाँ रहीं, जिन्होंने संयुक्त रूप से 25 प्रतिशत बाजार पर कब्जा किया. कार्गो सेगमेंट में भी इन्हीं तीनों का कुल 19 प्रतिशत हिस्सा रहा.

इलेक्ट्रिक कारों में टाटा का दबदबा
इलेक्ट्रिक कारों की बिक्री में भी 11 प्रतिशत की वृद्धि देखी गई. टाटा मोटर्स इस क्षेत्र की सबसे बड़ी खिलाड़ी साबित हुई, जिसने 53 प्रतिशत बाजार हिस्सेदारी अपने नाम की. एमजी मोटर 28 प्रतिशत के साथ दूसरे स्थान पर रही.

शीर्ष राज्य: दिल्ली पीछे, बिहार आगे
मार्च 2025 तक उत्तर प्रदेश, महाराष्ट्र, कर्नाटक, तमिलनाडु और दिल्ली EV बिक्री में शीर्ष पाँच राज्य रहे, जिनकी संयुक्त हिस्सेदारी 50 प्रतिशत रही.हालांकि वित्त वर्ष 2025 के अंदर हुए आँकड़ों में बिहार ने दिल्ली को पीछे छोड़ते हुए टॉप-5 में जगह बना ली. इस बदली हुई सूची में उत्तर प्रदेश, महाराष्ट्र, कर्नाटक, तमिलनाडु और बिहार शामिल हैं.
