A memorial gathering was organised at the Chamber Bhawan, where office-bearers and members assembled to honour his enduring legacy and express their deep gratitude for his unparalleled contribution to nation-building.

Addressing the gathering, Chamber President Manav Kedia described Jamsetji Tata as an extraordinary visionary whose foresight laid the foundation for Jamshedpur to emerge as one of India’s foremost industrial cities.

He remarked that the founder’s dream of placing the city prominently on the industrial map of the country has been magnificently realised.

Emphasising the need to uphold the founder’s ideals, Kedia urged members to draw inspiration from his values and continue striving for the holistic development of the city and the industrial sector.

Honorary General Secretary Puneet Kauntia highlighted that it was Jamsetji Tata’s far-sighted industrial vision that transformed the modest settlement of Kalimati into the globally recognised industrial hub of Tatanagar and Jamshedpur.

The tribute ceremony witnessed the presence of senior office-bearers and executive members, including Vice Presidents Abhishek Agarwal (Goldy) and Harsh Bakrewal, Secretaries Anshul Ringsia, Bharat Makani and Binod Sharma, along with Executive Committee members CA Prateek Agarwal, Pranjal Sarawgi, Piyush Churiwala, Chandrakant Jatakia, Sameer Makani, Akash Bhadani and Rachit Chaudhary, among many others.

Om Birla ‘s Journey in Indian Politics

Om Birla, born on November 23, 1962, in Kota, Rajasthan, is a prominent Indian politician affiliated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). With a master’s degree in commerce from Government Commerce College, Kota, and Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer, Birla has combined his academic background with a commitment to public service.

Early Political Career

Birla’s political journey commenced with the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), the youth wing of the BJP. प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने मांग-पत्र में साकची बाजार की प्रमुख समस्याओं का उल्लेख करते हुए कहा कि बाजार में कई स्थानों पर स्ट्रीट लाइटें खराब हैं या पूरी तरह अनुपस्थित हैं. साथ ही कई नए स्थानों पर स्ट्रीट लाइट लगाने की आवश्यकता है. साकची फ्रूट मार्केट के पीछे स्थित शौचालय की अत्यंत दयनीय स्थिति पर भी गंभीर चिंता जताई गई. चैम्बर ने इसके मरम्मतीकरण एवं आधुनिकरण की मांग की है.

मुख्य प्रवेश द्वारों पर अतिक्रमण से बाधित हो रहा व्यापार
प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने बताया कि साकची गोलचक्कर, चौधरी बिल्डिंग और अग्रवाल बुक स्टोर से बाजार के अंदर जाने वाले प्रमुख मार्ग अतिक्रमण की चपेट में हैं, जिससे व्यापारियों और ग्राहकों को कठिनाइयों का सामना करना पड़ रहा है.वहीं, बाटा चौक के नवनिर्माण और सौंदर्यीकरण की मांग भी प्रमुखता से उठाई गई.

चैम्बर ने जताई चिंता, मांग की त्वरित कार्रवाई

ईएमसी की बदहाल स्थिति पर जताई चिंता
चैम्बर अध्यक्ष विजय आनंद मूनका ने बैठक में इलेक्ट्रॉनिक मैन्युफैक्चरिंग क्लस्टर (ईएमसी) की बिगड़ती स्थिति पर गहरी चिंता जताई. उन्होंने कहा कि ईएमसी में लगातार अतिक्रमण हो रहा है, सड़कें जर्जर हैं और स्ट्रीट लाइटें खराब अवस्था में हैं. उन्होंने यह भी उल्लेख किया कि नशेड़ियों का अड्डा बनता जा रहा ईएमसी, उसके अस्तित्व पर ही संकट उत्पन्न कर रहा है. भूमि डायवर्सन और मूल उद्देश्य से भटकते इस क्लस्टर पर पुनरुद्धार की आवश्यकता जताई गई.

आदित्यपुर औद्योगिक क्षेत्र की हालत दयनीय
उपाध्यक्ष (उद्योग) पुनीत कांवटिया ने आदित्यपुर औद्योगिक क्षेत्र की दुर्दशा का मुद्दा उठाया. उन्होंने कहा कि सड़कों की हालत खराब है, ड्रेनेज सिस्टम ध्वस्त हो चुका है, स्ट्रीट लाइटें वर्षों से बंद पड़ी हैं. भूमि पर अतिक्रमण और चोरी की घटनाएं भी आम हो चुकी हैं. पार्किंग की समुचित व्यवस्था न होने के कारण दुर्घटनाओं की आशंका बनी रहती है. उन्होंने औद्योगिक क्षेत्र में डीओपी के सरलीकरण और होल्डिंग टैक्स की अनियमित मांग पर भी आपत्ति जताई.

राज्य में निवेशकों के लिए सुविधाओं की मांग
उपाध्यक्ष (विधिक) अधिवक्ता राजीव अग्रवाल ने झारखंड राज्य खनिज विकास निगम की स्थापना और सिंगल विंडो क्लीयरेंस सिस्टम की आवश्यकता पर बल दिया. उन्होंने जमशेदपुर के निकट औद्योगिक पार्क की स्थापना और निवेशकों को सरकारी दर पर भूमि उपलब्ध कराने की मांग भी रखी.

एमएसएमई क्लस्टर और बिजली आपूर्ति का मुद्दा
चर्चा के दौरान प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने निर्बाध बिजली आपूर्ति, एमएसएमई सुविधा केंद्र की स्थापना और आदित्यपुर के अलावा जमशेदपुर के अन्य क्षेत्रों में एमएसएमई क्लस्टर विकसित करने की मांग रखी. जियाडा की प्रबंध निदेशक प्रेरणा दीक्षित ने प्रतिनिधिमंडल की बातों को गंभीरता से सुना और सभी बिंदुओं के शीघ्र समाधान का भरोसा दिलाया.

अध्यक्ष की चिंताएँ
चैंबर के अध्यक्ष विजय आनंद मूनका ने कहा कि पिछले कुछ दिनों से दक्षिण पूर्व रेलवे की अधिकांश रेलगाड़ियाँ घंटों विलंब से चल रही हैं. उन्होंने बताया कि चैम्बर सदस्यों और व्यवसायियों ने इस मुद्दे को लेकर कई शिकायतें की हैं, जिससे व्यवसायियों और आम लोगों को कठिनाइयों का सामना करना पड़ रहा है. उन्होंने बताया कि चैंबर ने रेलवे मंत्री, रेलवे बोर्ड, महाप्रबंधक दक्षिण-पूर्व रेलवे और डीआरएम स्तर तक इस समस्या को पत्र के माध्यम से उठाया है, लेकिन अभी तक कोई सुधार नहीं हुआ है.

व्यापारियों की समस्याएँ
उपाध्यक्ष अभिषेक अग्रवाल गोल्डी और सचिव सुरेश शर्मा लिपु ने कहा कि इस विलंब के कारण व्यवसायियों को अनेक समस्याओं का सामना करना पड़ रहा है, और इसका असर उनके व्यापार पर भी पड़ रहा है. इसके अलावा, आम यात्रियों की यात्रा का उद्देश्य भी अस्त-व्यस्त हो रहा है. इसलिए धरना प्रदर्शन के माध्यम से रेलवे को इस मुद्दे की गंभीरता से अवगत कराने का निर्णय लिया गया है.

सदस्यों से अपील
चैंबर के अन्य अधिकारियों ने सभी सदस्यों से आग्रह किया है कि वे इस जनहित के कार्य में शामिल होकर सहयोग करें. उपाध्यक्ष अनिल मोदी, अधिवक्ता राजीव अग्रवाल, पुनीत कांवटिया, सचिव भरत मकानी, अंशुल रिंगसिया, बिनोद शर्मा और कोषाध्यक्ष सीए अनिल रिंगसिया ने मिलकर इस आंदोलन में भाग लेने का आग्रह किया है.

विजय आनंद मूनका ने कहा कि जमशेदपुर एक सदी से अधिक पुराना औद्योगिक नगर है. इसे देश की स्टील सिटी और झारखंड की आर्थिक राजधानी कहा जाता है. बावजूद इसके आज भी यहां एयरपोर्ट नहीं है. इससे न केवल आम जनता को दिक्कतें हो रही हैं, बल्कि नए निवेशकों की भागीदारी भी सीमित हो रही है. उन्होंने आग्रह किया कि एयरपोर्ट निर्माण में आ रही बाधाओं को शीघ्र दूर किया जाए.

टाटा कमांड एरिया में निबंधन ठप, राजस्व और विकास दोनों प्रभावित
प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने बताया कि पिछले कुछ वर्षों से टाटा कमांड एरिया के तहत आने वाले दुकानों, मकानों और फ्लैट्स का निबंधन बंद है. इससे संपत्ति खरीद-बिक्री रुकी हुई है. न केवल आम लोग परेशान हैं, बल्कि राज्य सरकार को राजस्व की भी बड़ी क्षति हो रही है. उन्होंने रजिस्ट्री प्रक्रिया को जल्द बहाल करने की मांग की.

वर्षों से बिना सर्वे रह रहे हैं लोग, नहीं है सरकारी रिकॉर्ड में नाम
उपाध्यक्ष पुनीत कांवटिया ने मांग की कि जमशेदपुर के गैर-टाटा क्षेत्र जैसे मानगो और जुगसलाई में जमीनों का नया सर्वे कराया जाए. उन्होंने बताया कि इन क्षेत्रों में लोग पीढ़ियों से रह रहे हैं, लेकिन अब तक सरकारी रिकॉर्ड में वे मकान मालिक के रूप में दर्ज नहीं हो पाए हैं. इससे उन्हें न तो मकान की खरीद-बिक्री की सुविधा मिलती है, न ही बैंक से ऋण या पुनः निर्माण की अनुमति.

चाकुलिया में हाथियों का आतंक, ग्रामीण सहमे
प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने घाटशिला अनुमंडल के चाकुलिया क्षेत्र में हाथियों द्वारा लगातार मचाए जा रहे उत्पात पर चिंता जताई. मजदूरों, ग्रामीणों और सुरक्षा कर्मियों में भय का माहौल है. हाथियों के हमलों में कई लोगों की जान भी जा चुकी है. प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने इस समस्या के त्वरित समाधान की मांग की.

वाणिज्यकर विभाग में नियुक्तियों का अभाव, काम पेंडिंग
अधिवक्ता राजीव अग्रवाल ने कहा कि जमशेदपुर डिविजन में एडिशनल कमिश्नर की नियुक्ति नहीं हुई है. साथ ही चाईबासा, अर्बन, आदित्यपुर और सिंहभूम सर्किलों में ज्वाइंट कमिश्नर की भी पोस्टिंग नहीं की गई है. इससे व्यापारियों के अनेक कार्य लंबित हैं और उन्हें परेशानी का सामना करना पड़ रहा है. मुख्य सचिव अलका तिवारी ने प्रतिनिधिमंडल की सभी बातों को गंभीरता से सुना और जल्द समाधान का आश्वासन दिया.

This decision was approved in the recent cabinet meeting.

The Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry has welcomed the move. President Vijay Anand Moonka and honorary general secretary Manav Kedia praised the government’s decision, calling it a progressive step that will accelerate industrial and commercial growth in the state.

Manav Kedia stated that the trade body had earlier drawn the government’s attention to the need for VAT reduction on diesel for industries, mining, and works contracts through official correspondence.

Acting on this appeal, the government has approved the reduction for industries and mining but has not made any changes for the works contract segment.

Advocate Rajeev Agrawal, vice – president of the Chamber, also welcomed the government’s decision but expressed disappointment over the exclusion of works contracts. He emphasized that the Chamber would continue to pursue the issue and advocate for a similar VAT reduction on diesel used in works contracts.

The Chamber reiterated its commitment to supporting economic growth and development in Jharkhand by pushing for policy reforms that benefit the business community.
