Nearly 3.5 lakh applications submitted for the exam have been cancelled. The Jharkhand education department has announced that the examination will now be conducted under a new set of rules and regulations, currently being drafted. Fresh applications will be invited once the new notification is released.

Applicants who had already paid the examination fee earlier will not be required to pay it again. This decision was taken based on the recommendations of a committee formed by the Education Department to review the JTET process.

JTET Conducted Only Twice in 25 Years

Since the formation of Jharkhand as a state, the JTET has been conducted only twice—first in 2013, where around 68,000 candidates qualified, and again in 2016, with nearly 53,000 passing the test. The exam has not been held for the past nine years.

New Rules to Provide Age Relaxation

As per the draft rules of the JTET Guidelines 2025, candidates will receive a one-time age relaxation of eight years over the upper age limit. The minimum age to apply remains 21 years.

Para Teachers Up to 58 Years Eligible

The new rules also bring relief to para teachers (assistant teachers), who will be allowed to appear for JTET if they are under 58 years of age, considering their contractual service period.

This move aims to accommodate experienced educators into the mainstream system.

Lifetime Validity of JTET Certificates

Another crucial change is the introduction of lifetime validity for JTET certificates. This will also apply retrospectively to those who cleared the JTET in 2013 and 2016. The change is part of the proposed reforms to ensure greater flexibility and long-term recognition for qualified candidates.

The new regulations are expected to streamline the teacher recruitment process in Jharkhand and bring long-awaited clarity to aspiring educators.

सहायक शिक्षक नियुक्ति नियमावली में पारा शिक्षकों को 50 प्रतिशत आरक्षण दिए जाने और क्वालीफाइंग मार्क्स में छूट दिए जाने को चुनौती देने वाली याचिका पर पूर्व में सुनवाई करते हुए हाईकोर्ट ने फैसला सुरक्षित रख लिया था. साथ ही अदालत द्वारा फैसला आने तक 26 हजार सहायक शिक्षक भर्ती परीक्षा के रिजल्ट प्रकाशित करने पर भी लगा दिया गया था. शुक्रवार को मुख्य न्यायाधीश दीपक रौशन की अध्यक्षतावाली खंडपीठ ने मामले में फैसला सुनाया. जिसके तहत अब पारा शिक्षकों को क्वालीफाइंग मार्क्स में छूट नहीं मिलेगी.

इस फैसले से 26 हजार सहायक शिक्षकों की नियुक्ति प्रक्रिया पर बड़ा असर डाल सकता है. मामले में कृष्ण कुमार हलदर की ओर से भर्ती प्रक्रिया को चुनौती दी गई थी. मामले में याचिकाकार्ता की ओर से अधिवक्ता शुभम कुमार मिश्रा, कुमार पवन और शिवम उत्कर्ष सहाय ने पक्ष रखा था. जबकि जेएसएससी की ओर से संजोय पिपरवाल और राज्य सरकार की ओर से अधिवक्ता राहुल साबू ने अपनी दलीलें पेश की थी.

झारखंड शिक्षा परियोजना परिषद ने इसके लिए जिला शिक्षा अधीक्षक व जिला शिक्षा पदाधिकारी को पत्र लिखा है। दरअसल, उत्क्रमित किए गए सभी मध्य विद्यालय में सहायक अध्यापकों के तीन-तीन पद स्वीकृत हैं। स्कूलवार इन तीन पदों के लिए शिक्षकों की नियुक्ति की जानी है, लेकिन उपलब्ध पारा शिक्षकों में विज्ञान स्नातक पारा शिक्षक नहीं मिल रहे हैं। ऐसे में अब शिक्षा विभाग ने विज्ञान से इंटर करने वाले सहायक अध्यापकों को ही इन तीन में से एक पद पर नियुक्त करने की अनुमति दे दी है, लेकिन इसके साथ शर्त भी रख दी है। शर्त यह कि एक पद पर जितने भी सहायक अध्यापक नियुक्त किए जाएंगे, उनका इंटर में विज्ञान विषय तो होना ही चाहिए, साथ ही उनका अतिरिक्त विषय अंग्रेजी होना चाहिए।

निर्देश में कहा गया कि इस कोटि में फिट आने वाले शिक्षकों को प्रखंड शिक्षा समिति द्वारा अनुमोदित किए जाने के बाद आकलन परीक्षा में बैठने की स्वीकृति दी जाएगी। झारखंड शिक्षा परियोजना कार्यालय से जिला शिक्षा अधीक्षक व शिक्षा पदाधिकारी से अविलंब ऐसे सहायक अध्यापकों के प्रमाणपत्र सत्यापित सूची टीचर आईडी एवं प्रमाणत्रों के साथ तलब की है, ताकि जल्द शिक्षकों की कमी को उत्क्रमित मध्य विद्यालयों में समाप्त की जा सके।
