UditVani, Jamshedpur : Ms. Rajani Kumari, Senior Chemistry Teacher at Loyola School, Bistupur, participated in the Chemistry Olympiad Teachers’ Exposure Camp hosted by the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (TIFR), Mumbai, from November 25 to 28, 2025. The camp is part of India’s Olympiad ecosystem spearheaded by HBCSE, the national nodal centre for science Olympiad programmes.

Selection and representation
She was among 40 teachers shortlisted from across the country through an application-based process run by HBCSE, representing the state of Jharkhand. The selection timeline and teacher-focused format align with HBCSE’s official call for applications for the 2025 Chemistry Olympiad Exposure Camp.

Academic enrichment
The camp featured expert-led pedagogy sessions, Olympiad-level problem solving, and hands-on experimental modules designed to strengthen classroom practice in line with Chemistry Olympiad standards. HBCSE highlights these components as core to the Exposure Camp’s objectives, emphasizing both theoretical and experimental dimensions.

The Sub-Junior category saw enthusiastic participation from students of Classes V and VI, all brimming with energy and curiosity.

Loyola Alumni Premier League – Season 1: A Thrilling Kickoff to a New Tradition

UditVani, Jamshedpur : The inaugural season of the Loyola Alumni Premier League (LAPL) concluded with resounding success, ushering in a vibrant new chapter of alumni engagement and sportsmanship at Loyola.

Over three exciting days at the Loyola School grounds, the tournament brought together passionate alumni cricketers from various batches for a spirited display of competition, camaraderie, and Loyola pride.

Four dynamic teams — Jaguars United, Cheetah Crusaders, Leopard Dynamos, and Panther Warriors — competed in a thrilling league format.

The event drew an enthusiastic crowd of alumni, families, and supporters, creating an electric atmosphere on and off the field.

The grand finale saw a nail-biting clash between Jaguars United and Cheetah Crusaders, with Jaguars United emerging as the proud winners of the LAPL Season 1 Champions Trophy. Standout individual performances were also recognized:

* Best Batsman: Jasraj Khanuja
* Best Bowler: Harshil Dokania
* Player of the Tournament: Jasraj Khanuja

Beyond the boundaries, LAPL Season 1 was a celebration of Loyola spirit — rekindling friendships, forging new connections, and strengthening the alumni network.

Graduation Nite at Loyola School

UditVani, Jamshedpur : It was time to say good-bye to the Alma mater.

Loyola School on Friday hosted a Graduation Nite for the outgoing batch of Std. XII students, marking the culmination of their academic journey and the beginning of a new chapter.

The evening was filled with moments of reflection, gratitude and inspiration as the management, teachers, students and their parents gathered to celebrate this milestone.

The event commenced with the “Academic Procession’, a moment of pride, as the graduating students and faculty walked with dignity and honour.

This was followed by the lighting of the traditional lamp, accompanied by a soulful prayer song, symbolizing wisdom and enlightenment.

The Rector of the School, Fr. K.M. Joseph delivered a warm welcome address, setting the tone for the evening by acknowledging the hard work and perseverance of the students.

The school president then took the stage, sharing an inspiring speech that highlighted the achievements and unity of the graduating class.

A special video presentation captured the journey of the students, bringing back cherished memories of their school years.

The most awaited moment arrived with the distribution of certificates and special awards, recognizing academic excellence, leadership, and extracurricular achievements.

Adding a personal touch to the celebration, a parent representative shared heartfelt words, expressing gratitude to the school for shaping the students’ future.

Prayers by representatives of teachers and students invoked the blessings of the Almighty for the graduates as they step into a new phase of life.

The message from the Principal, Fr. Vinod Fernandes , resonated with encouragement and wisdom, emphasizing on Ignatian values of ‘Magis’ and being men and women for others.

The highlight of the evening was the passing the light ceremony, where educators symbolically handed over the flame of knowledge to the students in a candle-lighting ritual, signifying their transition into the world awaiting them.

The ceremony concluded with the School Anthem, uniting everyone in a moment of pride and nostalgia.

Graduation Night for the 2024-2025 batch at Loyola School was a heartfelt and dignified event, leaving an indelible mark on the students as they embark on their future endeavours with confidence and determination.

Special Awards

Sejuti Bose bagged The AIWC Award for Social Service . The award is given to a student of the outgoing twelfth standard who excels himself or herself in the service of others.

Achievement Award

Pragati Gupta got The Achievement Award which is given to a student who is consistently persevering and has the courage and the will-power to rule his/her personal life in spite of all odds.

Vineet Soni Memorial Congeniality Award

Srishty Murmu received The Vineet Soni Memorial Congeniality Award. The award is meant for the most cheerful, helpful and enthusiastic student of the outgoing ISC Commerce Stream.

Allencherry Award

Sadiya Zareen was bestowed with The Allencherry Award given to a student who is a ‘PERSON FOR OTHERS’. He or she goes out of his or her way to help others and be a source of inspiration for others.

Gyanprakash Trophy

Varija Upadhyay got The Gyanprakash Trophy for Girls for All Round Excellence in Plus Two in recognition and encouragement of overall excellence, personality development and achievement among the senior most girl who lives up to the spirit of Loyola.

T.A. Gabbar Award

The T.A. Gabba Award for Man of Principles went to Ritik Kumar. It is an award dedicated to the memory of T.A. Gabba, an honest, upright and brave officer who laid down his life to uphold the above ideals, which he acquired during his schooling at Loyola.

Bhattacharya Pursuit of Excellence Award

Shaurya Vijay Sinha received The Bhattacharya Pursuit of Excellence Award . It is given for good attendance, good behaviour and steady academic performance.

The Loyola Award

Aryan Mishra got The Loyola Award. The award is given to a student of the senior class who is adjudged an outstanding representative of Loyola for academic excellence, loyalty to the school and participation in school activities.

उदित वाणी, जमशेदपुर: फिल्म स्वदेश में अपने कैमरा का कमाल दिखा चुके लोयोला के पूर्ववर्ती छात्र महेश अने की फिल्म शूबॉक्स को न्यूयॉर्क इंडियन फिल्म फेस्टिवल (एनवायआईएफएफ) के 2022 संस्करण में बेस्ट फिल्म की ट्रॉफी मिली है. फराज अली निर्देशित फिल्म शूबॉक्स से सिनेमेटोग्राफर महेश अने है. इस फेस्टिवल में भारतीय डायस्पोरा की फिल्मों को प्रदर्शित और सम्मानित किया गया. पुरस्कार की घोषणा शनिवार रात एनवाईआईएफएफ के आधिकारिक इंस्टाग्राम पेज पर की गई. हिंदी फिल्म “शूबॉक्स” में अली अपने पिता के साथ एक युवा महिला के जटिल संबंधों की खोज करता है क्योंकि उनके आसपास की दुनिया में काफी बदलाव आता है. लगातार तीसरे वर्ष आयोजित होने के कारण इंडो-अमेरिकन आर्ट्स काउंसिल (आईएएसी) द्वारा प्रस्तुत महोत्सव में 18 फीचर फिल्म, छह वृत्तचित्र और 36 लघु फिल्मों सहित 60 फिल्में स्क्रीनिंग की गई. उल्लेखनीय है कि एनवाईआईएफएफ वैश्विक भारतीय समुदाय के वैकल्पिक और स्वतंत्र सिनेमा का जश्न मनाता है और फिल्मों के इस संग्रह को न्यूयॉर्क के दर्शकों के लिए लाता है.न्यूयॉर्क में भारत के महावाणिज्य दूतावास रणधीर जायसवाल ने महोत्सव के विजेताओं को पुरस्कार प्रदान किए.

पुणे फिल्म संस्थान के छात्र रहे हैं महेश

फिल्म एंड टेलीविजन इन्स्टीट्यूट ऑफ इंडिया (एफटीआईआई) से सिनेमेटोग्राफी की पढ़ाई करने वाले महेश अने फिलहाल मुंबई में रहते हैं. उनकी सबसे चर्चित फिल्म स्वदेश रही थी, जिसे आशुतोष गोवरेकर ने निर्देशित किया था. इस फिल्म को बेस्ट सिनेमेटोग्राफी का अवार्ड मिला था. महेश ने टाटा स्टील पर भी फिल्में बना चुके हैं.
