The initiative, supported by the Department of Industries, Government of Jharkhand, through the Jharkhand Industrial Area Development Authority (JIADA), aimed to encourage industrial units to adopt sustainable practices, minimize environmental impact, and move closer to the long-term goal of achieving Net Zero emissions.

Inder Agarwal, President of the Adityapur Small Industries Association (ASIA), urged industrial units to undertake -Green Audits – as a key step towards creating a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable industrial ecosystem.

Emphasizing the importance of collective responsibility, he highlighted that awareness and proactive engagement by all stakeholders are critical for building an environmentally conscious industrial base.

S.N. Thakur, Managing Director of the Adityapur Auto Cluster, spoke on the increasing relevance of effective waste management in the industrial sector.

He apprised participants about the state-of-the-art facilities within the cluster designed for the treatment of hazardous and liquid waste, stressing that responsible industrial practices are essential not only for ecological balance but also for sustainable industrial growth.

Addressing the gathering, Prem Ranjan, Regional Director of JIADA, Adityapur region, elaborated on the process, advantages, and government support mechanisms for conducting Green Audits under the RAMP Programme.

He highlighted that the programme offers financial assistance of up to Rs 30,000 per unit, and informed that JIADA will empanel accredited Green Audit firms to assist industrial units in executing audits in a structured, transparent, and efficient manner.

A team of consultants from JIADA provided an in-depth walkthrough of the audit process, eligibility criteria, and subsidy mechanism, while the technical session, led by Dr. Tiwari from Ranchi, offered insights into audit methodologies, compliance requirements, and practical strategies for industries to align with net zero and broader sustainable development goals.

The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 150 representatives from nearly 800 industrial units operating within the Adityapur Auto Cluster.

The event concluded with an engaging interactive Q&A session, followed by a vote of thanks proposed Shri Dinesh Ranjan, Regional Deputy Director, JIADA, Adityapur Region, who lauded the proactive engagement and commitment of industrial units in advancing the green initiative.

This initiative marks a pivotal moment in Adityapur’s industrial landscape, signaling a concerted push towards environmentally responsible growth while fostering awareness and action on sustainability among MSMEs.

एनएसई सस्टेनेबिलिटी रेटिंग्स एंड एनालिटिक्स लिमिटेड के अनुसार, एजीईएल को 74 का प्रभावशाली ईएसजी स्कोर मिला, जो पावर सेक्टर में सबसे अधिक है। यह सस्टेनेबल प्रैक्टिस के प्रति एजीईएल की प्रतिबद्धता और पर्यावरण, सामाजिक और शासन मानकों को बनाए रखने के इसके निरंतर प्रयासों को दिखाता है।

अदाणी समूह के चेयरमैन गौतम अदाणी ने वित्त वर्ष 25 की वार्षिक रिपोर्ट में एजीईएल के शासन और स्थिरता के प्रति समर्पण को बताया है, जिसमें कहा गया है, “हमारा शासन वैश्विक स्तर के मानकों का है और हमारा अनुपालन ढांचे मजबूत और गैर-हस्तांतरणीय हैं।”

कंपनी ने 73 का उच्च सामाजिक स्कोर भी अर्जित किया, जो दिखाता है कि कंपनी कर्मचारियों, ग्राहक सुरक्षा और सामुदायिक कल्याण पहलों के लिए स्वास्थ्य और सुरक्षा उपायों पर भी अपना ध्यान केंद्रित करती है।

एनएसई सस्टेनेबिलिटी रेटिंग्स एंड एनालिटिक्स लिमिटेड 2,000 से अधिक डेटा बिंदुओं के आधार पर कंपनियों का मूल्यांकन करती है, जो राष्ट्रीय और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मानकों के साथ संरेखित एक पारदर्शी और भौतिकता-आधारित कार्यप्रणाली प्रदान करता है। एजीईएल का प्रदर्शन इसकी रणनीति, संस्कृति और मूल्यों को दर्शाता है जो सस्टेनेबिलिटी प्रैक्टिस पर केंद्रित है।
