NSS Nodal Officer Patrie Mali informed that six dedicated teams of students, guided by university faculty, conducted door-to-door collections across Mou Bhandar, Gurudwara Road, Dahi Goda, Ghatshila Market, and Station Road.

Through their efforts, a total of ₹10,039 was raised, which will be deposited in the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund for immediate assistance to affected families.

झारखंड के कई बैंकों ने केंद्र सरकार द्वारा निर्धारित किए गए उक्त क्षेत्रों में सीएसआर की राशि का व्यय नहीं किया जा रहा है. उन्होंने उदाहरण स्वरूप कहा कि कुछ बैंकों द्वारा झारखंड के दो-चार पाठशालाओं में छात्र-छात्राओं के बीच डेढ़-दो लाख रुपये का स्कूल बैग वितरित किया गया है. वहीं कुछ बैंकों के द्वारा बर्ष 2022-23 में एक सरकारी विभाग के कर्मचारियों के बीच मात्र दो हजार रुपये का फूड पैकेट एवं 22 हजार रुपये की राशि की शॉल का वितरण किया गया. उन्होंने कहा कि सीएसआर फंड की राशि का इस तरह के उपयोग किये जाने से झारखंड राज्य में व्याप्त गरीबी का उन्मूलन नहीं किया जा सकता है.

सीएसआर फंड का उपयोग केंद्र सरकार द्वारा निर्धारित बिषयों पर किया जाना चाहिए. इसके लिए एक पारदर्शी प्रणाली स्थापित किये जाने की आवश्यकता है. उन्होंने बताया कि हिमाचल प्रदेश में सीएसआर फंड का अनावश्यक मदों पर खर्च तथा फिजूल खर्च को रोकने के लिए एक प्रभावशाली व्यवस्था की गई है. इसके अंतर्गत सभी व्यय प्रस्तावों को सम्पूर्ण तथ्य के साथ हिमाचल प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री के समक्ष निर्णय के लिए प्रस्तुत किया जाता है और उनके अनुमोदन के उपरांत ही सीएसआर की राशि खर्च की जा सकती है. इसी प्रकार की व्यवस्था झारखंड में भी किया जाना चाहिए.

कंपनी प्रवक्ता के अनुसार, टाटा स्टील फिलहाल अपने कारोबार के भविष्य को लेकर ब्रिटेन की सरकार के साथ सक्रिय और विस्तृत बातचीत कर रही है. इसमें कारोबार के लिए किसी संभावित खरीदार की चर्चा शामिल नहीं है.

टाटा स्टील का साउथ वेल्स के पोर्ट टैलबोट में स्थित संयंत्र ब्रिटेन का सबसे बड़ा स्टील प्लांट है. कंपनी के ब्रिटेन में लगभग 8,000 कर्मचारी हैं.कंपनी कार्बन उत्सर्जन-मुक्त योजनाओं को लागू करने के लिए ब्रिटिश सरकार से 1.5 अरब पौंड की वित्तीय सहायता मांग रही है.

ब्रिटेन के कार्बन-मुक्त कदम के हिस्से के तहत पोर्ट टैलबोट इकाई को कारोबार-सक्षम बनाए रखने के लिए वैकल्पिक प्रौद्योगिकियों में बदलाव करना जरूरी होगा.
