Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Steel City would organise a “Cyclothon 2.0: Cycle for a Cause” tomorrow , Saturday.

The Cyclothon will kick- off at 6.30 am near Udipi Restaurant, Bindal Mall on the Marine Drive.

The event is a fundraiser trying to support the treatment of cancer patients.

Participants can register with a fee of Rs 500, which includes a complimentary T-shirt, medal, and certificate.

Every registration is a vital contribution to supporting cancer patients in their treatment journey.

This initiative isn’t just about cycling — it’s about community, compassion, and making a difference. With every pedal, participants will contribute to bringing hope and healing to those battling cancer.

The event is generously supported by leading sponsors, including Gold’s Gym, Skyway Career Hub, Udipi Restaurant, Decathlon, and Saarthi, alongwith donations from individuals dedicated to this noble cause.

Se added that through Cyclothon 2.0, they aim to bring people together not only to promote fitness but to show solidarity for those fighting cancer.

Felicitation of 4 Champions of Ironman 70.3 Goa 2024

During the event, Rotary club of Jamshedpur Steel City would honour the 4 champions of steel city who have successfully completed the Ironman 70.3 Goa 2024 and made Jamshedpur proud.

Neelam Jain, Siddharth Adeshra, Prateek Kauntia and Arjun Murarka started training for the competition with Arise Performance.

Their grit, discipline and determination was what led them over the finish line in Goa on October 27 last year.

Ironman 70.3 is a trademark. It stands for the total distance covered in miles during the event.

It comprises a 1.2 mile (1.9 Km) swim, 56 mile (90 Km) bike and 13.1 mile (21.1 Km) run.

कार्यक्रम के समाप्ति पर प्राचार्य डा अमर सिंह ने संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि कई लोगो की बलिदान के बाद यह आजाद देश हमे मिला.

उदित वाणी, जमशेदपुर: लोयोला स्कूल के प्लेटिनम जुबली कार्यक्रम के तहत 13 अगस्त को इंटर स्कूल क्विज के बाद 14 अगस्त को साइक्लोथॉन का आयोजन किया जाएगा. साइक्लोथॉन के लिए सीनियर व जूनियर वर्ग के लिए अलग-अलग रूट तय किए गए हैं.

सुबह सात बजे उपायुक्त विजया जाधव साइक्लोथॉन को हरी झंडी दिखाकर रवाना करेंगी. इसमें लोयोला स्कूल के 600 विद्यार्थी हिस्सा ले रहे हैं. साक्लोथॉन के जरिए लोयोला एलुमिनाई एसोसिएशन अपनी टीचर मिस प्रीति पटेल को भी याद करेगा.

उन्होंने 36 वर्षों तक स्कूल में अपना योगदान दिया और इस दौरान वे अपनी फिलिप्स साइकिल से ही स्कूल आती थीं. खास बात यह है कि वे कभी भी देर से स्कूल नहीं आयीं, न ही कभी छुट्टी ली और न ही की कभी अनुपस्थित रहीं.

अपनी इस टीचर को लोयोला के एलुमिनाई याद कर रहे हैं. खास बात यह है कि जिस साइकिल से वे स्कूल आती थीं, वह साइकिल लोयोला एलुमिनाई एसोसिएशन के कार्यालय में रखी हुई है.

उन्होंने बताया कि आजादी का अमृत महोत्सव मनाने के पीछे का उद्देश्य भावी पीढ़ी को देश के बलिदानियों के गौरवशाली इतिहास से अवगत कराना है. उन्होंने बताया कि प्रधानमंत्री के सोच के अनुरूप देशभर में यह कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया जा रहा है. उन्होंने बताया कि प्रधानमंत्री ने 5 बिलियन की इकोनॉमी का लक्ष्य निर्धारित किया है, यह कार्यक्रम उसी लक्ष्य का एक हिस्सा है. वहीं जमशेदपुर सांसद विद्युत वरण महतो ने देश के आर्थिक प्रगति में आयकर विभाग की भूमिका को अतुलनीय बताया. उन्होंने बताया कि आयकर विभाग लगातार देश की सेवा में और 5 बिलियन डॉलर इकोनामी के लक्ष्य को हासिल करने में अपना बहुमूल्य योगदान दे रहा है. यही कारण है कि देश आज विकास के पथ पर तेजी से अग्रसर है.

उदित वाणी, जमशेदपुर: आजादी के अमृत महोत्सव के अवसर पर केंद्र सरकार के सभी सरकारी कार्यालयों की ओर से विभिन्न कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए जा रहे हैं. इसी क्रम में जमशेदपुर आयकर विभाग की ओर से 11 जून को सायक्लोथॉन आयोजित करने का निर्णय लिया गया है. आयकर विभाग जमशेदपुर के प्रधान आयकर आयुक्त शिशिर धमीजा ने बुधवार को कार्यालय में आयोजित संवाददाता सम्मेलन में यह जानकारी दी.

उन्होंने बताया कि कार्यक्रम के मुख्य अतिथि केंद्रीय मंत्री अर्जुन मुंडा और जमशेदपुर के सांसद विद्युत वरण महतो होंगे. कार्यक्रम 11 जून को सुबह 8 बजे सर्किट हाउस क्रिकेट मैदान से आरंभ होगा. शहर में 5 किलोमीटर की दूरी को तय करने के बाद यह पुनःक्रिकेट मैदान में आएगा. इस साइकिलिंग में आयकर विभाग के अलावा चेंबर ऑफ कॉमर्स सहित अन्य संस्थान के लोग भी शामिल होंगे.

धमीजा ने बताया कि साइक्लोथॉन का मकसद आज़ादी के अमृत महोत्सव के अवसर पर अपने पर्यावरण को बचाना है.
