मिशन वात्सल्य – बच्चों के समग्र विकास की दिशा में पहल
कार्यशाला में मिशन वात्सल्य की स्पॉन्सरशिप योजना, फॉस्टर केयर योजना, बाल विवाह रोकथाम, बाल श्रम, बाल व्यापार, पॉक्सो अधिनियम, किशोर न्याय अधिनियम तथा बच्चों से जुड़े अन्य कानूनों पर विस्तृत चर्चा हुई. साथ ही चाइल्ड प्रोटेक्शन पॉलिसी, वल्नरेबिलिटी मैपिंग और सड़क पर जीवनयापन करने वाले बच्चों के पुनर्वास पर विशेष जोर दिया गया.

बच्चों के शारीरिक, मानसिक और सामाजिक विकास पर जोर
उप विकास आयुक्त अनिकेत सचान ने कहा कि सिर्फ शैक्षणिक विकास ही नहीं, बल्कि मानसिक, सामाजिक और भावनात्मक कल्याण भी समान रूप से महत्वपूर्ण है. उन्होंने सभी संबंधित विभागों से इस दिशा में ठोस प्रयास करने की अपील की और मिशन वात्सल्य जैसी योजनाओं के प्रति अधिक से अधिक जागरूकता बढ़ाने पर बल दिया.

वन स्टॉप सेंटर और चाइल्ड हेल्पलाइन को अधिक प्रभावी बनाने की अपील
एसडीएम धालभूम शताब्दी मजूमदार ने वन स्टॉप सेंटर एवं चाइल्ड हेल्पलाइन को अधिक सक्रिय बनाने की आवश्यकता जताई. उन्होंने सभी से आग्रह किया कि ये सुविधाएं अधिक से अधिक जरूरतमंदों तक पहुंचे.

ग्रामीण एसपी ऋषभ गर्ग ने कहा कि भटके हुए बच्चों को मुख्यधारा में जोड़ना और उनका पुनर्वास सुनिश्चित करना प्रशासन की प्राथमिकता है. मिशन वात्सल्य का उद्देश्य बच्चों की सुरक्षा, कल्याण और सर्वांगीण विकास सुनिश्चित करना है. उन्होंने परिवार-आधारित गैर-संस्थागत देखभाल को बढ़ावा देने की बात कही ताकि कठिन परिस्थितियों में बच्चों को सरकारी और गैर-सरकारी संस्थाओं का सहयोग मिल सके.

बच्चों के उज्ज्वल भविष्य के लिए समन्वित प्रयास जरूरी
कार्यशाला में अनाथ एवं पीड़ित बच्चों के क्षमता निर्माण और पुनर्वास पर विशेष चर्चा हुई. सभी हितधारकों को इस योजना के उद्देश्यों को प्रभावी ढंग से लागू करने के लिए आवश्यक कौशल एवं ज्ञान से समृद्ध करने की आवश्यकता पर बल दिया गया.

Focus on Services at Sakhi One Stop Centre
Accompanied by Executive Magistrate Sudipta Raj, the SDO examined the medical facilities, deputation of doctors, legal aid, counselling services, and police assistance available to women victims of violence at the Sakhi One Stop Centre. During the inspection, she interacted with the operator and gathered insights into the problems faced by the center’s residents.

Challenges Identified During the Inspection
The inspection revealed several areas for improvement. It was noted that the absence of a night watchman had resulted in the center being unable to accommodate women for night stays. Additionally, there were issues with access to drinking water, and the lack of sanitation workers was also flagged as a concern.

The SDO assured that immediate steps would be taken to address these deficiencies and emphasized the need for enhanced cleanliness and better systems at the center.

Sakhi One Stop Centre’s Role in Supporting Victimized Women
The Sakhi One Stop Centre serves as a critical support system for women suffering from various forms of abuse, including sexual harassment, emotional and psychological trauma, as well as economic abuse. It provides assistance to women who face violence within their families, communities, workplaces, or public spaces.

Emphasis on Legal Rights and Awareness
During the inspection, the SDO highlighted the importance of educating women victims about their legal rights and the free legal aid available to them. She also urged the center to provide information on government schemes that could benefit these women. The goal is to empower the women to take full advantage of the services offered.

Strengthening the Child Helpline
In addition to her visit to the Sakhi Centre, Shatabdi Majumdar discussed the need to make the Child Helpline more effective. She encouraged the public to report any instances of child exploitation or violations of fundamental rights by calling the toll-free number 1098. This would ensure that the administration can provide appropriate accommodation and care for the affected children.
