आयोजित सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम की रूपरेखा टैगोर सोसाईटी द्वारा संचालित टैगोर स्कूल ऑफ आर्ट की प्राचार्य चंदना चौधुरी ने रखी, जिनके निर्देशन में सर्वप्रथम शान्तिमंत्र के उच्चारण के साथ कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत हुई, प्रभु आजि तोमोर दखिनो हाथ, प्रेमे प्राणे गाने ए भारतो राखो, आनन्दों तुमि मोंगोल, आकाशे दुई, बोसे आछि, तोमार काछे ए बर मांगि, सत्तो चिन्तोन मोरा सोत्येर पोरे आदि गीतों के साथ संगीत पर गीत का गायन हुआ।

कार्यक्रम में अपनी बात रखते हुए टैगोर सोसाईटी के महासचिव आशीष चौधुरी ने कहा कि जड़ों से जुड़कर जैसे वृक्ष का विकास होता है, उसी तरह अपने गौरवशाली अतीत से जुड़कर ही सांस्कृतिक विकास संभव है। उन्होने कहा कि अपनी संस्कृति को तभी हम बचा पायेंगे जब हम उससे जुड़कर रहेंगे और अपने पर्व त्योहार को उत्साहपूर्वक मनायेंगे। उन्होने पुनः सभी को बांग्ला नववर्ष की शुभकामनाएँ प्रेषित की।
