The event featured a series of engaging activities, including a collage-making competition, self-composed poetry recitation, and a quiz, all aimed at celebrating Ambedkar’s legacy and ideals.

The valedictory session commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp.
The welcome address and thematic introduction were delivered by Dr. Sonali Singh, Head of the Department of Political Science. Suchita Das, an M.Ed. student, presented a heartfelt self-written poem dedicated to Ambedkar.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Abhay Kant from the Political Science Department highlighted Ambedkar’s enduring contributions toward equality, justice, and human rights.

He emphasized Ambedkar’s relentless fight against social discrimination and his vision of an inclusive society.

Stressing the importance of education as a transformative tool, he underscored the need to safeguard the rights of women and marginalized communities.

The programme concluded with a call to uphold Ambedkar’s ideals in building a more equitable society. Winners of the competitions were awarded certificates by the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities.

The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Madhuri Priyadarshi, Head of the Department of History, while the event was smoothly conducted by Yoga instructor Ravi Newar.
