UditVani, Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur FC U-17 suffered a 2-0 defeat against United Sports Club in their latest U-17 Elite League encounter at the JRD Tata Sports Complex played today.
The first-half goals from Kunal Sidkar and Roushan Kumar proved to be the difference as the visitors secured all three points.
United Sports Club took the lead in the 17th minute through Kunal Sikdar, who capitalized on a defensive lapse to slot the ball past the Jamshedpur goalkeeper. Despite the early setback, Jamshedpur FC pushed forward in search of an equalizer but struggled to break through a well-organized United Sports defense. Just before halftime, Roushan Kumar doubled the lead in the 41st minute, putting Jamshedpur FC under further pressure heading into the break.
The second half saw Jamshedpur FC display more attacking intent, creating multiple opportunities.
However, despite their efforts, they were unable to find the back of the net. United Sports Club defended resolutely, frustrating the home side and maintaining their two-goal advantage until the final whistle.
In the next match, Jamshedpur FC will travel to Cuttack to play Odisha FC on February 9 .
