
UditVani, Jamshedpur : Anticipating a surge in passenger traffic during the festive months of Durga Puja, Diwali, and Chhath, South Eastern Railway has announced the introduction of Ranchi–Kamakhya–Ranchi Festival Special train.
The services aim to provide smoother connectivity between Jharkhand and Assam during the peak travel season.
As per the schedule, Train No. 08621 Ranchi–Kamakhya Special will depart from Ranchi every Saturday between September 27 and November 1 at 8:10 pm, reaching Kamakhya at 11 pm the next day.
In the return direction, Train No. 08622 Kamakhya–Ranchi Special will run every Monday from September 29 to November 3 leaving Kamakhya at 2 am and arriving in Ranchi at 4.40 am the following day.
The special trains will halt at Muri, Kotshila, and Bokaro Steel City in the South Eastern Railway zone.
Railway authorities noted that the additional services will ease festive travel pressure, offering passengers greater flexibility and convenience while visiting their hometowns or traveling across states for celebrations.
