Uditvani, Jamshedpur : District Election Officer Ananya Mittal and senior superintendent of police Kishore Kaushal in the joint briefing today issued necessary guidelines to poll agents to be followed on the day of counting on November 23.
The District Election Officer made it clear that that without a valid pass, no candidate, election agent, counting agent, official, press representative, essential services personnel will be allowed to enter the Jamshedpur Co-operative College premises, the counting centre for six seats of East Singhbhum.
Apart from valid passes, the counting agent will also have to show Form 18, only then he will be allowed to enter the counting hall.
During the briefing , guidelines were also given regarding vehicle parking to maintain smooth traffic . Besides, a briefing was also given regarding who will be given entry inside the college premises.
Vehicles of candidates, election agents, counting agents, officials, press representatives will be parked in the college premises and vehicles of workers will be parked outside Sacred Heart Convent School.
The District Election Officer told the political parties , the candidates and their representatives present in the briefing that the vehicles of candidates, election agents, counting agents, counting observers, district officials, supervisor assistants and press representatives will be parked on the ground located in the college campus.
At the same time, political workers will not be allowed to take their vehicles beyond the Russi Modi Center for Excellence.
The workers will park their vehicles outside the Sacred Heart Convent School and will be able to go on foot only to the District Mining Office, the workers will not be allowed inside the college premises.
Senior Superintendent of Police said that tight security arrangements have been made at the college premises for the counting of votes.
District forces will be deployed in the first layer of three-tier security, JAP soldiers in the second layer and para military forces in the third layer.
No electronic gadgets will be allowed to enter the college premises. According to the guidelines of the Election Commission, some officials of the district will be allowed to enter with phones and representatives of the press will be able to take cameras and phones to the media library.
