UditVani, Jamshedpur: In a significant stride toward advancing cardiac healthcare, Manipal Tata Medical College (MTMC), a constituent unit of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), hosted a prestigious national conference titled “Diagnostic Approaches in Cardiovascular Diseases.”
The event was organized by the Cardiovascular Technology (CVT) division under the Department of Allied Health Sciences, in strategic collaboration with the Department of Cardiac Sciences at Manipal Hospital.
Held in a seamless hybrid format, the conference witnessed the participation of 247 delegates, including 105 attendees at the Jamshedpur campus and 142 virtual participants.
The gathering drew a diverse and global audience, with delegates joining from across India—spanning Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Haryana, and Karnataka—as well as international participants from the United Kingdom, the United States, and Germany.
The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the illumination of knowledge.
The inaugural session was graced virtually by Chief Guest G. Arun Maiya, Dean of MCHP, MAHE. He was joined by key institutional leaders from MTMC, along with distinguished guest Rabindra Nath Chakraborty, Senior Consultant and Head of Cardiac Sciences at Manipal Hospital, Kolkata.
The conference featured a series of high-impact technical sessions delivered by leading experts in cardiovascular medicine and technology.
Notable speakers included Ajay Agarwal (BNMH Jamshedpur), N. V. K. Sundeep (MTMC), Ashesh Halder (Manipal Hospital Kolkata), Krishnananda Nayak (MCHP, MAHE Manipal), and Dilip Kumar (Manipal Hospital Kolkata).
Their sessions highlighted cutting-edge diagnostic methodologies and emerging innovations shaping the future of cardiac care.
Beyond expert lectures, the conference provided a dynamic platform for budding researchers, who presented their findings through oral and poster sessions.
This exchange fostered meaningful interdisciplinary dialogue and strengthened academic-clinical collaboration.
The event concluded on an engaging note with an interactive digital quiz, followed by a valedictory session recognizing outstanding academic contributions.
The formal vote of thanks was delivered by conference Convener Tina Ralhan, Assistant Professor of Cardiovascular Technology at MTMC.
