UditVani, Jamshedpur: CII Young Indians (Yi), Jamshedpur chapter organized an enlightening session on drug abuse for the students of Laxminagar High School, Birsanagar, aiming to educate them about the dangers of substance abuse. The interactive program was attended by over 200 students from classes 8th, 9th, and 10th.
Spreading Awareness
Yi member Mokshita Gautam led the session, focusing on the growing menace of drug abuse and its impact on youth. Through her engaging presentation, she shed light on how easily drugs are available in areas around schools, including Laxminagar High School.
“Drugs are becoming alarmingly accessible to students, especially through small shops around school premises,” she stated. She appealed to the community to come together to address this serious issue and protect young minds.

Students openly shared their concerns, pointing out how drugs are easily accessible in the vicinity of their school. “We see substances being sold near our school gates, and it’s scary to know how close the danger is,” one student remarked. The session concluded with an earnest appeal to local authorities and community leaders to curb the sale of drugs near schools and create a safer environment for students.
