UDIT VANI Jamshedpur : The Jamshedpur Book Fair currently underway at the landmark Rabindra Bhavan in Sakchi is a real treat for book lovers.
The footfall at the annual book fair is on the rise. The iconic fair which is the most sought after event in Jamshedpur’s calendar entered it’s sixth- day today
The book stalls, at the 38th edition of the fair is regularly thronged by teenagers.
The fair offers a wide variety of books of various authors. Chetan Bhagat’s books were among the first to be picked up by teenagers and college-going crowd.
There are about 70 stalls at the fair ground , showcasing a diverse collection of books spanning fiction, non-fiction, children’s literature, academic resources, and regional publications.
Noted publishers from across the country have put up stalls at the fair, offering attractive discounts and special editions.
On the response of this year’s fair which was inaugurated on November 15, a senior member of The Tagore Society, the organisers said, ” The footfall so far especially young readers is overwhelming . It is heartening to see people rediscovering their love for books in this digital age. We are expecting a good footfall , more than last year in the 10- day fair.”
