UditVani, New Delhi: The Chief Minister of Jharkhand Hemant Soren met with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday and extended an invitation for the swearing-in ceremony of his government, scheduled to take place at Morhabadi Ground, Ranchi on Thursday, November 28.
Hemant was accompanied by his wife Kalpana Soren, the MLA-elect from the Gandey constituency.
Hemant Soren also met Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and party President Mallikarjun Kharge to formally invite them to the ceremony.
Hemant Soren will make history as the first leader to be sworn in as Jharkhand’s Chief Minister four times. He first took oath on July 13, 2013, leading a Congress-RJD-supported government until December 2014. His father Shibu Soren, and Arjun Munda of BJP have each served three terms as Jharkhand Chief Minister.
The JMM-led INDI alliance won 56 of the 81 seats in the Assembly elections, the results of which were announced on Saturday.
Invitations for the swearing-in ceremony have been sent to prominent political leaders, including RJD chief Lalu Yadav, Bihar’s Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, AAP Convener Arvind Kejriwal, CPI-ML leader Dipankar Bhattacharya, and the Chief Ministers of Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, Telangana, and Jammu and Kashmir.
