
UditVani, Jamshedpur: Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi chaired a high-level review meeting at the collectorate auditorium on Wednesday to assess revenue collection, land acquisition, certificate cases, public grievances, and issues related to encroachment on Tata Lease land.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner directed officials to take strict and time-bound action to address cases of encroachment on Tata Lease land.
He emphasised the need for coordinated efforts among departments to ensure that such cases are identified and resolved promptly in accordance with legal provisions.
Reviewing overall revenue collection, Satyarthi instructed departments lagging behind to prepare targeted action plans to achieve 100 percent revenue collection before the end of the financial year.
Departments including State Tax Jamshedpur, Singhbhum Circle, Mining, Electricity divisions of Mango, Jamshedpur and Ghatshila, Motor Vehicle Inspectorate, Weights and Measures offices in Bistupur and Ghatshila, and urban local bodies such as Mango, Jugsalai and Chakulia were asked to intensify efforts.
The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed pending certificate cases and directed all 25 certificate officers to adopt separate strategies for disposing of long-pending, one-year-old, and newly filed cases.
Officials were asked to coordinate with banks to obtain settlement reports and increase the number of hearings to expedite case disposal.
People were also encouraged to settle certificate cases during the upcoming National Lok Adalat on March 14.
The meeting also discussed land acquisition for several infrastructure projects.
Officials were directed to ensure that compensation payments and acquisition procedures do not delay national or state development projects.
Special emphasis was laid on expediting the acquisition of land for the Boramara–Chakulia new broad gauge railway line (56.96 km) project of the South Eastern Railway, covering 49 villages in Chakulia and Baharagora blocks.
Moreover, progress was reviewed on land acquisition related to the NH-33 elevated corridor project from Kali Mandir–Dimna Chowk–Baliguma in Jamshedpur, along with other road and bridge construction projects in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner further instructed Circle Officers to organise special camps at the local level to resolve issues related to land mutation, permissions, demarcation, land record corrections, and rent receipt generation.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Santosh Garg, Ghatshila SDO Sunil Chandra, District Transport Officer Dhananjay, District Land Acquisition Officer, engineers of the Road Division, Circle Officers, and representatives of NHAI, Tata Steel and Railways.
