UditVani, West Bokaro: The 13th Annual Flower and Vegetable Show, hosted by Tata Steel’s West Bokaro Division, concluded successfully on January 5, 2025. Held from January 3 to January 5 at the Tata Steel Sports Complex, West Bokaro, the three-day event was celebrated with great enthusiasm.
The closing ceremony was graced by Chandan Kumar (IAS), DC, Ramgarh, as the Chief Guest, and Nitish Kumar (IFS), DFO, Ramgarh Forest Division, as the Guest of Honor. They were accompanied by Anurag Dixit, General Manager, West Bokaro Division, Tata Steel.
The exhibition featured 54 stalls showcasing contributions from various institutions, vendor partners, and schools from different districts, along with 7 food stalls. A range of creative competitions, including sand painting, rangoli, sketching, painting, art and craft, and contests among local nurseries, were organised. The programme also included cultural performances highlighting the rich heritage of Jharkhand, which were widely appreciated by attendees.
Addressing the gathering, Chandan Kumar congratulated the organisers, saying, “This exhibition introduces new and innovative ideas every year and inspires us to connect more deeply with nature. Such events play a crucial role in fostering environmental awareness.”
During the event, Chandan Kumar (IAS), DC, Ramgarh and Nitish Kumar (IFS), DFO, Ramgarh, felicitated the winners of various competitions held during the exhibition, encouraging their creativity and efforts.
The event drew thousands of attendees from diverse sections of the community, making it a grand success.
Prominent Tata Steel officials, including Rajesh Patel, Chief, Quarry AB; Mazhar Ali, Chief, Engineering and Projects; Mrinal Bhadra, Chief, Quarry SE; and Praveen, Head, Planning, were present alongside union representatives, employees, and members of the local community.
