
UditVani, Jamshedpur : The city-level round of the Young Indians Parliament (YIP), organized by Young Indians Jamshedpur, began with great enthusiasm and participation on Saturday.
The two-day event is aimed at fostering leadership qualities, strengthening democratic values, and promoting political awareness among the youth.
Over 100 students from various schools across Jamshedpur took part in the engaging session on Day 1.
A well-structured Mock Parliament was conducted, where students played the roles of the Prime Minister, Leader of the Opposition, Speaker, and heads of various ministries.
They debated national issues, introduced bills, and followed parliamentary protocols, gaining hands-on insight into the functioning of Indian democracy.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Vijay Anand Moonka, President of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as the chief guest.
He encouraged students to become active and responsible citizens contributing to nation-building.

Young Indians (Yi), an integral part of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), has taken a significant step through this initiative to connect youth with the democratic spirit of the nation.
The program provides experiential learning about governance, policymaking, and civic responsibility.
The Young Indians Parliament has already established itself as a dynamic platform shaping India’s next generation of informed, responsible, and purpose-driven leaders.
