
Udit Vani, Jamshedpur : The City Level Round of the Young Indians Parliament (YIP) 2025, hosted by Young Indians Jamshedpur, concluded on Sunday with energy, insight, and applause at Kerala Public School, Burma Mines , after two impactful days of youth-driven deliberations and mock parliamentary sessions.
Over 100 enthusiastic students from leading schools across the city stepped into the shoes of lawmakers, engaging in passionate debates, drafting bills, and showcasing a firm grasp on democratic values and public policy.
The valedictory ceremony was graced by senior trade union leader Raghunath Pandey as chief guest, who lauded the initiative and urged the students to become architects of India’s future.
He was joined by Udit Agarwal, Past Chair, Yi Jamshedpur, Rachna Nair, Academic Director, KPS Burma Mines, Koushik Modi, Chair, Yi Jamshedpur
Other active Yi members, who played a key role in curating the entire experience were also present.
A highlight of the event was a two-hour mock parliament session, where student MPs debated pressing issues like:
* Women Empowerment in Jharkhand
* Tourism Development in the State
* Health Policy Gaps and Challenges
Out of four student-authored bills, two were successfully passed, reflecting their depth of research, analytical thinking, and understanding of democratic procedures.
To celebrate excellence, 10 students were honored with awards across various categories including Best Speaker, Best Parliamentarian, Most Impactful Bill, and Best Team Coordination.

* JUSCO School, Kadma – 2 Awards
A flagship initiative under Yi’s Thalir vertical, the Young Indians Parliament aims to instill civic awareness, leadership, and a sense of responsibility among school students by offering them a hands-on experience of India’s legislative system.
The event concluded with thunderous applause and a renewed sense of purpose—leaving behind a trail of inspired young changemakers ready to shape tomorrow.
